Club championship 13

Mousemat Bors are an old team on a slippy slope and bottom of the leauge aswell you say leauge has no bearing on hampionship I disagree, Mohill and marys based there championship on good leauge results and it stood to them where as melvin gaels struggled all year and were caught out in the quarters all be it they were unlucky to loose. Kiltubrid are a poor side and have been the last few years not up to par! willies are also a good intermediate team and Drumreilly well its only a matter of time, not to mention the disruption they caused in the SFC this year!! why cant yous see im just giving an honest view on it its the truth!!!

I agree with premiumrashers but only to a point

It's a good way of letting go of aged excess baggage by putting down 2 teams to intermediate championship

Say this year the willies and the bors

But only 1 team can win a championship

Only 1 team can win a cup and medals

So that means the runners up move up a grade with no trophy

Defeats the purpose of championship because we all play for our championship medals

Apart from Harleys I don't really see any negative anti eslin posts jimmy? And even at that we can all see that Harleys has admitted defeat to eslin

Good luck to eslin in the interfinal a win is a must lads hopefully the ref doesn't spoil the game on ye

I'm only commenting on what you said, these teams are not constantly fighting the relegation battle in Senior!! If you read what I said about the league I was talking about the Inter final thats why I named Eslin and Manors 2nd team, league has no basis here because manor's team can be different every week and Eslin were missing the Beirnes for some games, in Senior in my opinion there is only a handful of strong teams, Mohill, Carrick, Manor and Melvin, but the other 8 are on equal par and could beat each other on any day, i'd include Gortlettragh in this as they rode there luck at times this year. Look at the last few years with the exception when Annaduff won, it has constantly been these four teams up at the top but the rest and Carrigallen & Allen Gaels are very poor!

Harleys im going to out your argument to bed

well the only way you can get near a pitch 94 is in your dreams and even in ur dreams id roast you. I dont think kiltubrid have a third team ya might make the panel on that if they had! Back to the arguement at hand, Eslin have nothin to loose as i expect conor beirne to be there only scorer and even he is markable put ur second best man on him and ur best man playin in front of him he might get a sniff or 2 but thats it! Im not anti eslin in any way if they win it will be a huge achievement and ill be first on here to congratulate them but Honestly I dont think there good enough and expect Manor to run away with it!!

The fact Mary's and Mohill are both contesting senior and junior finals shows the strength in depth of the town clubs. Coupled with the fact Manor's second string are in the Intermediate final against Eslin it means all six finalists in the top 3 adult competitions are from in and around Carrick, Mohill and Manor!

The intermediate final is in ballinamore next saturday

Ya ballinamore saintly

Northern soul what kind of statement is that

1 and only 1 northleitrim team remain in the entire 5 tier championship

Eslin is a country parish as is aughavas as is kiltubrid

St marys is a minority town team most players live in the country as do most mohill players

All of south leitrim origin so where are these clubs based around manor that you say are still in with a shot?

We live in a small county if you started a tractor at the fingerboard it could be heard in ballinamore

Only 2 parishes over so what does your post mean seeing as mohill and Carrick are both respectively a good 30-40 minutes drive from manorhamilton?

Eslin isnt a country parish! Eslin is in Mohill parish!!

Eslin has its own church

Eslin has its own gaa club

And a fairly successful one for geographical reasons

So in the peoples eyes yes eslin is a parish between mohill kiltoghert annaduff and kiltubrid

My point is that the 6 finalists are from just 3 different areas, fair play to Eslin though, they are bucking the trend as it is becoming nigh on impossible for smaller clubs to compete with big guns who draw their panels from larger population bases.

Senior mohill v st Mary's a local derby

Intermediate eslin v manor tier 2 south v north

Jnr A mohill v st Mary's repeat of senior second tier local derby

Jnr B aughavas v kiltubrid 2 rural southern clubs both restructuring after offloading aged cargo and suffering to players going to Australia

4 games 6 different gaa clubs

The best thing about this Years championship has been the knocking out of manor and melvingeals so early on in senior

Drumahaire being tipped by anyone who would listen long gone

And teams like carrigallen getting to a senior semi while drumrielly beat last year's semi finalists aughawillan

In my opinion thats a good mix of football considering the year we had

Oh and don't forget eslin are playing the intermediate final next Saturday

Can't wait ESKIN ABU

94Allstar - sensing a lot of Eslin bias. You'll just have to accept geographical and Ecclesiasticalfacts - Eslin is part of Mohill parish. I drove through Mohill on way to Cloone yesterday and the Main Street has as many Eslin flags as Mohill. Funny that. cant think of any other town that would happen in the County. Good luck on Saturday, if ye win no doubt ye'll do a tour of the town of Eslin.

And funny enough, it was the Mohill club that put up those Eslin flags!

Best of luck to Eslin. Hope they do themselves proud. Great to see a club with small playing population doing well.

If Manor do win the intermediate on Saturday do they play in the Connacht Club championship? are they aloud as they are a second team? Are Eslin automatically going to play in connacth regardless of saturdays result??
