It was most definitely & the chap in question will be lucky to wear the red and white of louth again in my opinion. joej (Louth) - Posts: 1562 - 25/03/2013 14:08:35 1355916 Link 0 |
We are not all bad losers lads, some of us see the bigger picture. Derry were the best side for 70% of the match IMO sam57 (Louth) - Posts: 1501 - 25/03/2013 19:10:06 1356203 Link 0 |

In Brian McIver Derry have one of the best coaches in Ireland. His work with Down in 2010 was massively underrated and it's no coincidence we haven't reached similar heights in the last few years. Derry won't be easy beat by anyone whilst McIver is at the helm. MourneArmy (Down) - Posts: 1787 - 27/03/2013 16:05:45 1357415 Link 0 |
Sorry fellow derry Gaa fans . I find it a little funny and ironic that your all saying how wondferful derry are, under the heading Derry football hits an all time low. In my opinion you are probably the 3rd or 4th best team in Ulster behind, Donegal, Tyrone, and then I would consider Down and Armagh to be as good as or slightly better than yourselves. Considering there are 8 teams in Ulster its not a great position to be in. joej (Louth) - Posts: 1562 - 27/03/2013 16:34:49 1357442 Link 0 |
joej and where does that leave us youthofeire (Louth) - Posts: 563 - 27/03/2013 18:46:58 1357563 Link 0 |
We had a bad year in 2012 but under new management were one game away from promotion we are a young team with potential,Armagh could be down to div 3 and Down playing in div2 next year, winning breeds confidence we have beaten all leinster teams so far in the league wexford laois longford and louth. As for louth i think your behind Dublin kildare, Laois, Westmeath, then on a par with the rest.We are definitely behind Donegal and Tyrone at the minute the rest is even enough.Having just won the Mc Crory cup for the first time in 10 years things arent as bad as people who started this thread say.I attended the GO Games and their is plenty of talented young players still to be developed in the county and confident for the future. 93vintageyear (Derry) - Posts: 301 - 27/03/2013 20:30:53 1357659 Link 0 |

joej, there's nobody on here bumming up Derry as being the best thing since sliced bread. Derry fans were very pleased, however, that we won a tricky away game in Drogheda after appearing to be in trouble with ten minutes to go, especially since this is the kind of situation in which Derry have performed very poorly the past couple of years. As for being behind Donegal and Tyrone, Donegal are All-Ireland champions and Tyrone lead Division 1 - there are quite a few counties in that boat! doiregael2 (Derry) - Posts: 334 - 27/03/2013 21:35:19 1357713 Link 0 |
I have put a request on the louth board that they come and take him back. derryman (Derry) - Posts: 3246 - 27/03/2013 21:56:02 1357735 Link 0 |

Tell you what wolf man. I'll have a word with the Tyrone lads. They are always happy to have an argument about football. maybe they will take him for a while and give us both a break. derryman (Derry) - Posts: 3246 - 28/03/2013 11:20:57 1357824 Link 0 |

There is a big one sort of east of us . He should have a lot of mates over there who know little about Gaelic football. derryman (Derry) - Posts: 3246 - 28/03/2013 18:02:36 1358144 Link 0 |
Stick him into the fountain in Derry for a few nights and he'll be grand there Orlaith (Derry) - Posts: 4282 - 28/03/2013 18:16:19 1358159 Link 0 |
But even if we duck him in the fountain, will he ever tell us which Ulster county he reckons no longer exists? hermann (Derry) - Posts: 170 - 29/03/2013 13:53:20 1358432 Link 0 |
