If teams are level on points does it go to head to head or scoring differences? I think this question gets asked every year about now :)

Very open group between the sole Junior clubs. Pauls win over Finea was a bit of a surprise but they were overdue a win as they had blown a semi final against them two years ago. Never much between them at any time. Ballycomoyle coming from seven down to draw with Bun and maybe could have won wasn't high on the radar but saying that their home pitch is a hard one to get a result from so fair play. Joes were livelier than Ballinagore and won by four. Rode their luck a bit at times but were the better side. So far, it looks like Bun, Finea and Joes for three spots but again its very tight to call with two rounds to go.

Last year it was head to head and score difference as a result of covid and the condensed season so I'd imagine it is the same again this year, In previous years it was playoffs as no team could be knocked out of the championship based on score/head to head

Who's everyone's favourites to win the junior after 3 rounds?

St Lomans and Bunbrosna only teams with unbeaten record.

Yep, Lomans and Bun look to be the teams to beat so far. Others teams however, could scrape through into the knockout stages and build a bit of momentum while improving along the way. Tool early to tell yet - we may know more after the next round of matches.

J.F.C. Round 4.

Group 1
The Downs v St. Lomans
Kinnegad v Athlone
Mgar Sham v Garrycastle

The winner of Mullingar Shamrocks and Garrycastle reaches the QF. The loser of Kinnegad and Athlone is out. Lomans are the only side so far to have qualified for QF's, they play the Downs, who were beaten by Garrycastle last time out.

Group 2
Bunbrosna v St. Josephs
Ballinagore v CFCW
St. Pauls v Ballycomoyle

The winner of Bunbrosna and St. Josephs reach the QF, with a game in hand. Ballinagore v CFCW is a must win for both sides. Ballycomoyle have to beat St. Pauls, or they are also out of this years Junior.

A big weekend for all teams in Section B with still plenty to play for for all teams. Finea and Bun should have enough in the tank to win their games. Pauls vs Ballycomoyle under lights in Kinnegad will be a close one with Pauls just shading it.

Section B is very tight. Bun V Joes, Bun's experience V Joes youth, likely draw imo. Pauls V Ballycomoyle, Not an easy one to call either, Pauls but very marginal. Finea V Ballinagore, home venue is the key here, Ballinagore but just depends which Finea team fields. Still all to play for which is great to see.

Ballycomoyle won their first game of the season tonight, beating St. Pauls by 3 points, very close group.

Hadn't seen any of the junior to date so I went into Kinnegad last night instead of Mullingar and I'm glad I did. Good entertaining match with passages of quality, close most of the way but the better team won and Ballycomoyle should have won by more, they missed a good bit and were wasteful in possession by times which helped St Paul's.
Some nice players on both sides but probably the pick of them with Ballycomoyle to be fair. It's a pity that the games aren't spread out a bit more, wouldn't mind taking in a few of these games but they always clash with the senior.

Are bun best team in it? Unfortunately I have not been able to watch any junior this year

Finea and bun, then lomans and downs for me are the best teams, in no particular order by the Way
