New to London, Football clubs in North London?

(Oldest Posts First)

Just moved to London, in the North Islington area, and I am looking to join a football team. The problem is, I'm not very good skill wise, I haven't played probably in many years. And to be honest, because of this, I'm looking to join one of the weaker teams in the Centre/North of London area.

It is obviously quite hard to find out online which clubs would fall under this category. I got a list of clubs from wikipedia but I can't even tell where most of the clubs are located.

The reason I wish to join a team now and get back into football is for the training to keep fit, for the social side of things to get to know people, and to have fun at the weekends playing matches.

Anybody got any recommendations or advice?

Eire Og in Finsbury Park which is close to Islington are your best bet. Fairly new junior club.

As fancyaride says, Eire Og are your best bet. Handily placed, operate at junior level, are improving all the time, and they are a good bunch of lads whenever I've seen them in the clubhouses or out and about.
