I believe John Mitchels were missing a few v St Nicks, and now with home advantage v Heston and back to full strength should progress to beat Connollys in the Final.

Hearing Dunedin were 3-05 to 5 points down at half-time and came back to level in normal time. They went on to win by about 7 after two Glen Rvrs players sent off in extra time. Apparently the other game also went to extra time - no result yet tho'

Both Games went to extra time with Mitchell's and Connellys getting the victories!

Congrats to John Mitchells Liverpool. Hope they go all the way keeping the All Britain Trophy in the North West for 2nd year on on bounce. Showing just how strong Lancashire GAA is

I would have to disagree Tribesman, been on this board a number of years and there have always been questions about how the Lancs teams like John Mitchells and Peters ect would fair in London. Heston won the Intermediate championship in London, and if we are honest they will be favorites to come back down next year, just like last years winners St Brendans did this year, who played Round Towers (2011 IFC champions) in the senior relegation.

John Mitchells sneaked passed Heston yesterday, so maybe Lancashire isnt as strong as some on the board would have us believe!

John Mitchels came racing out the traps yesterday, going 0-4 - 0-0 up after 10 minutes, it looked like it was going to be a big win, but Heston really picked up their game after a bad start and went into half time 1-4 - 0-5 to the good. The second half was an excellent game to watch, John Mitchells again started the better and were back to a point up midway through the half, but again Heston showed good character amd were two points up going into injury time, the ref played 5 minutes and the mitchells managed to get the draw!
Mitchells now had the momentum going into extra time and played the better ball in it, Hayden saw red for Heston and Mitchells won by two!

Great game all round, had everything, good luck to John Mitchells in the final.

well you would have to say these have been the best two clubs in British Junior for the past number of years and hopefully will be a cracking final, and hope whoever wins does British GAA proud in the AI series. Connollys will be going for the ladies and mens Junior British double.

I take your point Jockey but the only time Lancashire clubs play London clubs is either in Club All Britain or County All Britain series. I would say Lancashire Club and County teams have had the better results in the last 4-5 years.

Having had St.Peters Manchester win the Club All Britain last year beating Cú Chulainns of London in semis on route to final. They also won Club All Britain 2010 beating Moindearg of London in the Semis on route to final.

John Mitchells Liverpool won Club All Britain 2009 and runners up in 2011 to Cú Chulainns of Yorkshire and in the Final again this year Having beaten Heston Gaels of London in Semi.

Lancashire County team were runners up in 2009 and have won the last 4 All Britain County Championships 2010,2011,2012,2013 beating London in final in 2 of those 4 finals and beating them at least once in quarters or semi's in the last 4 years.

That would make it Lancashire Club or County teams at least in 9 finals of Club or County All Britain Competitions in the last 5 years. So every All Britain Final in the last 5 years, losing only 2 winning 7, that is some going and some record, something for Lancashire to be very proud of.

John Mitchells in this years final makes it 10 finals in 5 years, hopefully the losing count doesn't go to 3 and stays at 2 and win count goes up to 8

I think the the past has been very very successful and the future certainly looks bright in Lancashire

Heston are an itermediate club have been for some time, Senior next year will be a big step up for them. Cu Chullains had just won the London junior championship the year JM played them. If in London JM would be an intermediate side at best! They wouldnt get close to the top senior sides in London!

The facts you state speak for themselves, the lancashire senior county side and clubs teams are historically better than the London intermeidate and junior sides. I personally still think they would be a long way off the top senior sides in London, but like you say they dont get the opportunity so we may never know.

The London junior side is only open to players who never played senior club championship the year before, some counties at home allow players to play for the junior side as long as they never played for the senior county side the year before, if London done this I think there would be a massive improvement.

Just a correction tribesman Connollys won the All Britain in 09 beating Mitchells in the final.

i would say the mitchells team of 08 and the peters team of 2010 would have held their own in London, maybe not have been top 2 but certainly wouldnt have been relegation contenders, while the peters team of 2012 and this current mitchells team would be around the relegation area of senior in London

In Thru, apologies. John Mitchells won the 2008 All Britain Club Championship then went all the way to Final of All Ireland series in the Feb of 2009 where they lost to Skellig Rangers of Kerry by 1 point

So let me rephrase my last post

"That would make it Lancashire Club or County teams at least in 10 finals of Club or County All Britain Competitions in the last 6 years. So every All Britain Final in the last 6 years, losing only 2 winning 8, that is some going and some record, something for Lancashire to be very proud of.

Also getting to a All Ireland Final to lose by 1 point

John Mitchells in this years final makes it 11 finals in 6 years, hopefully the losing count doesn't go to 3 and stays at 2 and win count goes up to 9"

Forgot all about that All Ireland Final
