All Britian Team

(Oldest Posts First)

In theory is would obviously never work with training, but if you could gather a panel of 30 exiled players from across Britain who trained twice a week etc, how would they do in one of the provincial championships, the most obvious being Connacht, or maybe a more realistic target of Division 3 NL playing the likes of Sligo, Wicklow, Roscommon, Monaghan, Meath, Fermanagh, Cavan and Antrim.

Feel free to post your best 15.

Can't imagine there will be too many people with an indepth knowledge of all of the various competitions over here that would be able to name a proper 15.

How many of St Peters team( the best team outside london) last year would get on TCG's team or for that matter would make the london panel?

Eastwood, Kinch, Kelly, shinpad, all fantastic players and should be on this team as they all had a big part in bringing the London Cu's to the all britain semi final.

Eastwood would have made any inter county team this year in my opinion.

Don't know about the rest of Britain but this would be the best team available to London from last years championship

1. Declan Traynor (Fulham Irish)
2. David McGreevy (Tir Chonaill Gaels)
4. Seamus Hannon (Fulham Irish)
5. Kevin O'Leary (St Kiernans)
6. Graham Carr (North London Shamrocks)
7. Peter Sherry (Tir Chonaill Gaels)
8. Mark Gottsche (Tir Chonailll Gaels)
9. Jared Monghan (Parnells)
10. Greg Crowley (Parnels)
11. Lorcan Mulvey (Fulham Irish)
12. Sean Kelly(Cuchulainns)
13. Kevin McMenamin (Tir Chonaill Gaels)
14. Eoin O'Neill (Tir Chonaill Gaels)
15. Lloyd Colfer (Kingdom Kerry Gaels)

Subs: Barry Mitchell (Tir Chonaill Gaels) Tony Gaughan (Neasden) Chris Eastwood (Cuchulainns) Danny Ryan (St Kiernans) Padraig McGoldrick (Heston Gaels) Shane Mulligan (Fulham Irish) Marty Hughes (Fulham Irish) Brian Collins (Tir Chonaill Gaels) Adrian Moyles (St Kiernans) Damien Dunleavey (Neasden) Paul Geraghty (Neasden) Micky Mullins (Kingdom Kerry Gaels)

Another Goal Keeper needed

Full back is a position that doesn't have an obvious choice

Im not sure I get the post, I thought it was the best 15 from teams that played int he all Britain championship, either way I stand by my original picks.

If you are looking for a Full back, Keith McGovern is you only man.

Clarebearstare I think the OP was referring to a team to represent britain so that would be the best players from London and everywhere else, I'm suprised you didn't propose yourself as goalkeeper!

My skills are for discussing when im after about 13 pints, im not sure im a goalkeeper either.

Who told you that?

My boots are hanging up at home now.

Regarding the topic, the team listed above is a small bit nuts then, our boys went further than most teams in london apart from TCG and the only player to get a start is Sean Kelly?

Eastwood wont sleep tonight if he reads this :)

Roll on next season.

clarebearstare you crack me up!

Cuchulainns have a very strong team and will give the intermediate championship a good crack but not sure too many of their players would make the london panel let alone an all britain team!

Clarebearstare - Yes Cu's had a great year, but match the players I've listed and your Cu's players on a one v one basis and see how many would make the team then.

Eastwood is an excellent player I'm sure he'll sleep alright.

My apologises about having a solely London team. Haven't seen any of the other counties championship this year so would be unfair to comment on the good players playing there

I stand by my views

the all britain is an intermediate competition at best thats why London send either the junior or intermediate championship winners into it. a handfull of players from Lancashire and possibly Warwickshire (dont know much about the football there) but id say the majority would be from the London senior division if ever a team was to be formed!
