There is currently no Gaelic club in Southampton which is disappointing. Though there is an Aussie Rules club (Southampton Titans)/league in the south of England which is very well run. There are currently seven Irish players on the squad and some of a very high standard. It's a great way to meet new people English/Irish/Aussies etc. Please check the Southampton Titans Facebook page for more information and please do not hesitate to get in touch everyone of all abilities are welcome. So there's an Aussie Rules team (as i pointed out before) with 7 Irish players there already? Sounds like there is a GAA club there ready to be formed/reformed lads! Get on it and good luck, keep us posted on here though! thesilverfox (Tipperary) - Posts: 94 - 16/08/2011 10:26:11 1011934 Link 0 |

Sad to hear that you won't be fielding a GAA team, you should look at joining the Gloucester league, a mate of mine is on the board there and i remember him saying that they allow league games to be played with 11 players but you'd need 15 for the champo. They only have 4 teams so the number of games wouldn't be a killer either i'm sure. thesilverfox (Tipperary) - Posts: 94 - 23/05/2012 10:12:58 1178585 Link 0 |
