Gaelic football in Sheffield

I bet he's useless anyway. England is full of people who claim they have played this and played that. One of the favourites is: "I coulda played Mayo minor" Yes Mick that may be true, if you weren't a raging alcoholic, 19 stone, and useless at football.

intheno the reason he didnt play wasnt for the reasons you gave but because it was only lads from ballina that got picked. i could have played minor myself you know but the high stool seemed more appealing as i was finishing school. didnt turn out a bad decision - i ve stayed on it ever since.

Hi spudmurphy2000, I am moving over to Sheffield just like you said you were doing in this thread. I just registered on this site to contact you. Did you find a club in the end? it would be great if you could get in touch with me.

gwsheff11 just seen your post alot has happened since those previous posts if your moving to sheffield i would severly recommend commuting to st barnabas nottingham to play your football 45 mins away. since the last post about the club, they have gone from strength to strength in first year back in seniors last year they were runners up in league and were unlucky in championship final, and currently this year they have won the senior league and are in the county final in start of october.

anyone in Sheffield wanting to play should seriously consider St Benedict's Harps of Leeds. we currently have a player coming over for games from Sheffield and travel costs can be covered. currently training for the Semi-Final of the Yorkshire Senior Championship. check out the club website and if you're interested by all means get in touch
