Senior county final

(Oldest Posts First)

Hear Dessie Mone is out for Sunday after breaking his wrist. Can't understand Clontibret playing s strong team yesterday and a weak team last week. Vinny Corey could be still sore from semifinal along with Rodney Gorman also injured. Conor mc Carthy out for scotstown who should have one good performance in them in this years championship. I'm going for Scotstown win.

Reckon Scotstown will fall over the line this year. In my opinion, they have been the best of a bad bunch in a championship this year that lacked any kind of quality. Stephen Hagan is one of the best referees around for letting the game flow so this should make it an exciting contest. May the best team win!!

I think Scotstown will be too strong for Clontibret but agree both teams stumbled across the line getting to the final. Should be a good contest. Looking forward to see who picks up McManus and what damage he can cause Scotstown. From seeing Scotstown in this years championship, their defence is a touch porous.

On another note, bit disappointed match is not in Clones. Blaney have done a great job in developing the new stand, however hard to see it holding the large crowd. Can see a lot of people sitting on the old concrete uncovered seating. Fingers crossed it stays dry. Same as Clones has worked well over the past number of years.

If Clontibret had another scoring forward or two they'd be very dangerous. They just have no support for McManus up front, but he's so good he can often win games almost on his own. No other player seems to take on the responsibility to score for them, whereas Scotstown have a much greater spread of scoring threats.

Where was Aodh Curran and young O'Dowd yesterday? Surely they would be on that team?

Replying To Farney:  "Where was Aodh Curran and young O'Dowd yesterday? Surely they would be on that team?"
I don't think they are even in the country...
