One thing this league campaign to date has shown is that our forward division is over reliant on him. Hopefully 1 or 2 more will put their hands up in the final 2 league fixtures. unclegerry (Mayo) - Posts: 1204 - 23/03/2016 08:41:51 1836951 Link 0 |
No news is bad news in this case I fear. Lets hope Cillian is back on the paddock within the next few weeks. It'll take him a couple of months to get him back to where he needs to be (i.e. Being able to carry the scoring burden for Mayo's forward line). pdempsey (Mayo) - Posts: 1313 - 23/03/2016 21:28:53 1837188 Link 0 |

I agree that we need to be patient... But does anyone know when he is expected to be fit? unclegerry (Mayo) - Posts: 1204 - 24/03/2016 16:13:11 1837400 Link 0 |

We have been told he will be back for championship. Therefore, let's park it and give the guy a chance to recover until championship. What good is bringing him into the media spotlight going to do? I appreciate you are just wondering, but we as fans need to try to help our players a bit more. We are forever putting pressure on our own lads. I just don't see the point in starting a thread about the guy that is only going to descend into blind speculation and snidey comments from rossies and dubs, it's only ever going to work against us. Quick question lads. croker16 (Louth) - Posts: 347 - 07/04/2016 15:25:01 1843084 Link 0 |
Looks like he'll be back to full fitness for championship anyway. pdempsey (Mayo) - Posts: 1313 - 11/04/2016 08:22:10 1844122 Link 0 |
Sorry pdempsey but we are saturated with media these days. If you think many, if not all of them are not trawling the internet looking for a story for themselves then you are naïve. We are all 'unnamed sources' on here and I have heard that from the horses mouth. TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 12/04/2016 17:30:39 1844856 Link 0 |

Croker16, as per below link apparently Mortimer broke the record in March/April 2012 when his total amounted to 14-380. Given that he walked away from the Mayo panel in July 2012 I'd say he didn't put much more onto this total. So I'd say Cillian has probably matched the 14 goals at this stage and probably has a bit to go yet on the 380 points. No doubt we'll here about it when he's getting close! Great choice for captain. Hopefully be won't be the only one on the team showing leadership. mod (Mayo) - Posts: 857 - 08/05/2016 13:47:13 1852962 Link 0 |
