Incredible atmosphere that day. The stand was full an hour before throw in.

It was a record for Cusack park. People sitting on the walls and the roof of the toilets on the terrace.

Unbelievable that at this late stage they are now considering a venue a switch. Wouldn't have taken a genius to figure out that a pitch would get it hard to stand up to 2 games one straight after another at this time of year.

Disgraceful stuff 14 men beating us. Meath were in a bad place with many leaving the panel after a very poor league campaign. Short summer I'm sorry to say.

13 men, Meath finished with 13. 2nd player sent off around the 60th minute

Really disappointing to see that performance at this stage of the year, only 2 weeks before championship, Meath had a game plan which they played perfectly, the amount of time they hit us on the break and with power and pace, even with 13 men they still were creating chances for fun, westmeath no ideas, no plan nothing. Very poor reflection on the management team, on another not people were saying on the way out that heslin has left the panel is this true?

Sharry, Maguire and Dempsey were never involved this year along with Holloway. These for sure are all huge losses to the team. I don't know how true it is about the players you referred to above not being involved anymore. Was Heslin and Mccallon not on the line last Sunday? Carberry was the sub goalie last Sunday sure. McDaniels is out injured. I would have Lorcan Smyth involved; he is playing well for Vincent's. Confidence is going to be down and it won't be easy to get a result against Laois.

Heslin was doing water on the Terrace side yesterday and was picking up cones after the warm up & cool down

Wel if Heslin isn't on the panel we may just the club championship played waste of time with him not involved. Sharry needs to get back shane Dempsey as well all match winners.

Poor performance alright but obviously not the first 15. Pity as you'd imagine it was an opportunity to get up to championship speed but I'd guess Kelly didn't want to show full hand. Despite all that, very poor display and were clueless after the break.
Heslin was doing water boy alright but there's a rumour doing the rounds about a disciplinary matter. He'll be first name on the team sheet v Laois. Obvious that Carberry will be keeper and surely Corroon and Daly will be back in the squad. We know about Maguire, Dempsey, Sharry at this stage and McDaniels injured. How is Paddy Holloway going, I see he is back with the club, surely has been contacted ? I agree re Lorcan Smyth, if he is getting a decent run with Vincent's then surely worth a

My starting 15 v Laois (confirmed for Saturday, 26th May at Bord na Móna O'Connor Park, 5.00pm)

10 Callum McCormack
11 Luke Loughlin
12 Kieran Martin

15 John Egan

Sad to say we had no answer to Lenihan in corner back. They must have tried 4 lads on him yet he still ran riot.
I wouldnt start John Egan against Laois as I believe he offers little going forward.

big sur im afraid i have to disagree . cillian daly cannot play full back on donie kingston . it would be a
mismatch . dennis coroon and darragh daly will be midfield . luke loughlin has to be managed better , he is starting to remind me of dennis glennon when dennis first started . trying to do all himself . luke is a wonderful talent but he is burning himself out . ger egan will be centre forward . i would try alan stone at full back
