Tubber should beat Calry in their semi final. Calry missing a lot of players this year.
Western Gaels should be too strong for a young Coolera team in other semi-final.
Western Gaels would be favorites as last years Champions but I reckon Tubbercurry to beat them this year.
Tubber are out of the football now with the hurlers the main team left for county title hopes this year.

i wouldnt write of colera lads yet as they will younger and fitter fancy them to take tubber in semi final and meet the gaels in final where they might just reverse last yrs outcome

Got my semi final pairings wrong. Tubber V Coolera, Western Gaels V Calry.
Still going for Tubber but the only team to take points off them in the group stage was Coolera so could be something there alright!
Tubber (Experience) V Coolera (Youth) - will be an interesting semi final.

Calry 1.10 Western Gaels 0.11
Tubbercurry 3.08 Coolera 2.07
Suprised at champions W. Gaels going out to a Calry team missing alot of players this year, did not predict that.
Coolera are just a year or two too soon for the senior title but will be strong contenders soon.

Even tough it has been a few years now, it seems to be the same old story Tubber V Calry in the hurling final!
Tubber to win it by a couple of points, Calry still have recurring nightmares about playing and losing to Tubber in county finals.

have to agree with you there castlefete john doyle will do a good job on sunday he will let game flow but wont tolerate any messing either . surprised he got the final this yr but if he does as good a job as last yr we will be in for a cracker, i think he is the only hurling ref in the county that played at senior county level and when his in the middle he uses that experience. so best of luck to all involved on sunday and hopefully hurling will be the winner this year

John Doyle far from let the game flow. He must be hoarse from blowing the whistle. He persisted in holding up the play for over carrying. His consistent whistle blowing almost ruined a potentially great game. Gus Chapman seems to be best referee by a mile in Sligo, which isnt difficult.

Well done to Calry and Tubber for exciting game. Paul Severs is a great role model for youngsters with his passion and skill for the game at his age.
Calry will be hard bet in Connacht.

cluaininabu i was at the same game and your right he did blow up alot for overcarrying but we all know we can only take 4 steps so your saying he was wrong for playing the rules ??????????

Personally I felt Doyle could have let the game flow more. Hurling is meant to be a fast and flowing game and I think he could have let lads take their 5 to 6 steps. He was pulling lads back for the bare minimum which resulted in a very stop start first half in particular. The game was scrappy affair at time as both teams were tackling hard with little space to get a strike in. Only Severs and Raymonds could find their own space to get their strike in as they have the quality and talent to do so. A lot of supports from both sides where I was sitting felt Doyle was too fussy.
