Replying To WanPintWin:  "Great analysis there. It was the haircuts that cost them.
Barna are almost certain to be in the quarter-final. That's further than the last number of years and very good progress for them."
Yeah unfair analysis there. I'd blame their tight jeans, no socks and pointy shoes, cutting off the blood flow when shooting for the posts. :)

Excellent game between Moycullen and Annaghdown. Swung back and forth. Moycullen scoring 4 goals for the second game on the trot. Moycullen have some great young talent with Conneely, the Kelly brothers and young McLaughlin in midfield who is a cert to play midfield for Galway for many years to come. Paul Kelly is also worthy of a place in the Galway squad beside his brother as well. And they don't even have Peter Cooke available this year.

Comer again in and out of the game for Annaghdown. Was well marshalled. He often seems to be more influential for Galway than for Annaghdown.

I was looking at the master fixture booklet, the quarter final draw will be an open draw except no repeat fixtures will be allowed, so it's possible that two teams that topped their groups could end up playing each other?

McLoughlin gets more impressive every time he plays. Everything you want in a midfielder, tall, athletic, great passer and a good energy tank to get through a full game at his age. I believe he turned down an offer last year for Australian rules but it's only a matter of time before he is in a Galway senior jersey.

Always the same posters on here who big a guy up - he is a cert for this and that, same people who are quick to knock the same player for having a bad game. Let's relax a little....

Moycullen Ladies Gaelic team championship game called off last night due to concerns over some of their players in close contact with a positive Covid case. Be interesting to see if that impacts on other teams in the club.

Enthralling stuff from oughterard and moniva. Super game. Oughterard just about deserved it. This game could be the making of them. Showed great heart and never die spirit.

Since you are referring to myself who doesn't even post here much I'm sure you can direct me to an example of this?

You seem to have quite a few posts, maybe there is an issue with your account? Feel free to direct yourself.

What??? Are you sure I haven't heard even whispers of this

It wont affect the club until test results come back but if theres a positive result then it affects all teams.

Again are you sure?

Final day of group3 and itll be winner takes all in both games.

I expected claregalway to beat caherlistrane but not by such a big margin

Had thought a draw could possibly be on the cards but tuams win means everyone is now on 2 points.

Claregalway to beat tuam. Tuam missed two penalties played for a large part of the game with 15 v 13 and and c Sweeney picked up an injury early in the 2nd half so didnt continue. Unless tuam seriously improve they havent a hope they should have had a massive winning margin

Killanin people say they are unlucky but a lot had to do with lack of discipline from their less experienced players. Manager and captain needs to have a serious word with them. It cost them the game. By the sounds of it they put in a good shift in the 2nd half but obviously needed a full team. will beat caherlistrane if they solve this and if they pick up silly black cards in the next game and lose it's not bad luck its stupidity

That's three posts in a day now. It's very unfair the pressure put on these "certs " to play for Galway. McLaughin and Kelly free to do whatever they like.

The team they were due to play (Kilkerrin Clonberne) were notified by county board that Moycullen Senior Manager had contacted them to say there was a genuine risk with some of their players due to close contact with a positive case & that they would be unable to travel as a result. County Board were left with no choice but to cancel game to be fair to them. It is surprising that the club haven't communicated further on this as it is a serious issue.

Haven't seen it mentioned here but great win for St. James over the weekend. Game against Oughterard should be a good one.

As the man said when you've nothing of value to say, best say nothing. Rather than attacking posters who are trying to talk football. There's a good lad.

That's four posts now in a day, a lot for someone who never posts. Let Padraic Joyce and the lads in the know pick the players and let's not be be making any club players "certs" for inter county teams they've never played on. Glad you have learned something.

I don't post very much at all really but somehow you singled me out for an unnecessary dig. Next time play the ball and not the man and make a contribution other than dragging the forum into the gutter. There's a good lad.
