Replying To steakknife:  "Couldn't believe how poor Galway seniors Steede, Molloy and Sice were. Finnerty brought Silke to the cleaners. Perhaps there's a reason some of these guys haven't featured that much for the Galway seniors over the past couple of years. Full credit to MM, should be a great final. Can see Moycullen getting goals on the day and scraping through."
These lads have lost one championship match out of 50, 7 county titles in a row and 3 all Irelands, no need for statements like that.

Finnerty's always been around the Galway panel from underage up , exceptional talent , just riddled by injuries ! Hopefully p Joyce has been watching the last few matches ! I doubt many players in the county can take Liam Silke to the cleaners the way he did

Injuries? When has he missed much action for Salthill?

That post refers to Eoin Finnerty not Rob.

He's referring to Eoin Finnerty, not Robert.

Ooops...my bad. But still you can't throw Eoin Finnerty in after one good performance. Wait and see how he does against Moycullen first

Finnerty has been consistently good for M/M in recent years and has been plagued by injuries.
This year he's had a good clean run and shown he's worthy of a look for Galway IMO.

I think PJ recognises that men in form in club games could have an impact this year with the way it's all panning out so wouldn't be surprised to see more than 1 player come in now and given a chance to impress

Given that Moycullen went into the transfer market heavily in recent months with a number of players not actually from the parish, it would be nice to see Mountbellew take this one with their team of local lads.

I think they have 2 - a former Antrim county player Owen Gallagher & a Clarke lad from Knockmore in Mayo.
