Dublin V Kerry NFL Final

Kerry by 3 points
their need is greater
their desire is stronger
they need to show the dubs that they are not here to take part
pretty sure Kerry will win this

I read there on the main page that it's a sell-out. 80,000 for a league final. that's incredible. should be some atmosphere. I would think alot more genuine fans of the counties involved got tickets, unlike the all-ireland final.

Yes, there wasn't any kind of scramble for tickets - so all genuine fans should be sorted. I hope the Dublin and Kerry fans are in the ground by half 1, I'm sure they want to have a look at Tyrone especially, there's every chance they'll meet 1 of ourselves or Tyrone in early August.

Besides that, I anticipate a very good brand of football from all 4 sides on Sunday - all 4 are capable of defending well and attacking in numbers.

Looking like close to a sell-out on Sunday. That's incredible ; shows the big interest in this Dublin v Kerry game, and the Div 2 final looks like a good pairing also.Economy is getting stronger, unemployment is down, and the sun is out.Whats not to like?I'll be in my seat soaking up the atmosphere at 1pm.

The Hermit I heard the same thing last September when there was no chance Kerry would lose 3 big championship games in a row to Dublin yet we battered you's and a year on without your best player playing Sunday and your old men a year older you somehow think your going to beat us ? You do realise the fire power we have up front don't you? Will blitz Donegal without Connolly O Gara and kev Mac who was motm in the league game against Donegal , you honestly believe your defence can hold our forwards ? Plus Donaghy at midfield wow there's plenty of space in CP that I'm sure Donaghy doesn't want to be chasing a Fenton or McCauley or Emmett. I can't see how Kerry get near us we are far better all over the field.

Yes yes yes, Clondalkin you've won the All Ireland and now you're invincible.

I've heard it all before, for many years and from supporters from many different counties before you.

Such and such a team will never be touched, they'll win 3 in a row now, blah, blah, blah.

Dublin are far from unbeatable and they will not retain the All-Ireland in 2016 simply because they have not shown they are capable of doing so at any stage in the past 5 years.

As an aside, for someone to be so dismissive of a team of Kerry's quality is both puzzling and extremely naive.

I keep saying it, your arrogance will be your downfall!

It's either pure bravdo or a complete lack of

Liam it's a sell out no player will go out to play in front of 80 thousand people and have no desire, both teams will want to win and Dublin have the better team and will win.

Don't agree with point about Kerry's desire being stronger Liam. This Dublin team will not want to lose to Kerry. They're our biggest rivals and nothing but a win will be enough. I work with one of the lads and from what he's been saying believe me their need/desire to win this is just as strong if not stronger than Kerry's.

Hermit, all jokes aside buddy, how u can accuse ANYONE of arrogance is baffling!
U cling to Kerrys glorious history as some sort of stick to beat the rest of us mere pretenders to your god given throne with.
You remind me of Liverpool fans in the early 90's.................

;)

Its confidence, not arrogance Liam.

Confidence born of being from a county which has dominated this sport for a century.

I think we are entitled to it.

The bit of success Dublin have enjoyed lately seems to be getting to some of your compatriots heads.

If Clondalkin is a representative of how Dublin fans feel now about Kerry's ability then you are all collectively whistling past the graveyard (a graveyard strewn with other counties who came and went long before you).

P.S., what's Liverpool got to do with any of this?

Different sport lad, keep it that way.

Agh hermit pal, relax. Not all posters from each county share the same view.Think you are being a tad disrespectful to Dublin yourself, rubbishing our chances of back-to-back All Irelands.Fair enough we may come up short, but just because we've yet to do so doesnt guarantee we wont do it this year.Lads lets just enjoy Sunday for what it is ; hopefully we'll get a humdinger.Win,lose or draw, life will go on as normal for all of us.I have a tonne of respect for Kerry football and that wont change regardless of what happens.

Hermit....re read your post.
And tell me, hand on heart, you dont think it comes across as arrogant?
I mean if you dont then fair enough, thats your interpretation of "confidence"
To me, that reads as pure unadulterated arrogance and its very unbecoming of someone from a County like Kerry if I am honest.
When you infer in your post, as you simply have done, that the rest of us are largely only here to make up the numbers and wait for our Kingdom Overlords to regain their throne, that, is arrogant.
And you can deny all you want that u inferred that, but have another read of your post and see.

it will definatly be the largest crowd for a league final ever as 70 thousand was the biggest to date.
the 81,678 attendance record for a league match in general
set in 2007 for the Dublin v Tyrone first floodlight game in croke park
would look unlikely to be broken
as the capacity for sunday has been reduced due to the laochra show
there will be an additional screen in section A of Hill16
and a temporary tunnell in the canal end hogan stand corner
so how many it reduces the ground by im not sure
plus they are selling back row seats in upper hogan and upper canal end
for a cut price of 20 euro as it says they are a restricted view
so how many people will be willing to fork out money
without knowing what they can and cannot see is debateable.

Ah Cue, I'm not being disrespectful and rubbishing yer chances of doing back to back, anything can happen.

I'm just saying I've not seen anything to suggest its a possibility so far.

Remember this Kerry side defended their title in a final last year, Dublin have yet to do that.

I just find it strange posters like Clondalkin claim they are not worried about Kerry's challenge.

To me that's arrogance.

Back to backs are of course very difficult to do, that goes without saying, but people might not think Dublin have what it takes to do it this year. I think we have a great chance to do it, people say they haven't seen anything to suggest we will do it but I can say I haven't see anything , so far, to suggest anybody can beat Dublin. If that's arrogance then sue me.

Liam the only two points I am making are

a) No Kerry team fears any opposition, we respect them but we don't fear anybody.

If Kerry play to their potential they are always capable of beating anyone, anytime.

That's the confidence Kerry players are instilled.

That's the confidence Kerry supporters have going into any game.

I never mentioned we were unbeatable or that, as you claim I did, that the rest of ye are making up the numbers.

b) For posters to be going on that they don't rate Kerry, given the players and talent we possess is mind boggling.

Fine people saying they think X or Y are better than us, but to be laughing at us as some sort of 'Grand Dad's' army of also-rans or washed up players is pure hubris.

So I ask you Liam, given that, is it me or Clondalkin that's being arrogant?!!

I'm just being honest like I was honest after 2014 loss to Donegal I said we'd be back the following year to win Sam my team has beaten everyone in sight and I'm 100% confident that we will beat Kerry convincingly on Sunday , I believe our team is just too good for Kerry and I promise you if this was Dublin v Kerry in the 00's I would not be saying this , Kerry had a way better team back then but I believe it's our time now and we are just too good for a Kerry team without Jod to beat us.

clondalkin

its not realistic to expect Kerry to produce anywhere the same quantity of 'young speedy players' as you put it when you compare player pool and financial resources now is it?

We dont have the luxury of waves and waves of young players coming through therefore we have to try and get every last drop of our best players and hope they hold up. Obviously having to rely on 30+ yr olds isn't the ideal situation but needs must.

Regarding the game I'm not overly bothered with result but shudder at the thought of a bad beating and how it would effect our confidence + psyche.

I don't care if you produce players or not I'm just giving my honest opinion on what I believe will happen Sunday and if it's arrogance that I believe my team that's league and all Ireland champions and are unbeaten in this years league will win Sunday then so be it.

By time the summer comes around
OShea/OMahoney will be 36, Cooper/Donaghey 33 and Walsh 32.

Hard to see how that age profile would work against the Dubs in the summer in a high intensity match
