Dublin V Kerry NFL Final

Fair enough comments from Fitzy.I think he's a straight shooter ; no nonsense or silly mind games.Legendix might not think the league means much, but i see nothing but two teams going all out to win the trophy on Sunday. It really does feel like quite an important game.I dont remember a league final grabbing my attention as much as this.Kerry are desperate to beat us.And that is always a dangerous thing. Can't wait for Sunday.

Fitzy must not have inherited the dreaded Kerry "cute hoor" gene. How he avoided that DNA i dont know but what a refreshing man indeed (:

Good to see a fella that has the backbone to say what he sees instead of this oul waffle you get from some of the Kerry posters regularly.Of course they will be out win it and would love to have silverware when it's on offer for the league considering its been a few years since they won and especially considering the recent results between the two teams. Championship is more important ,yes , but make no mistake neither team will be going out for a run about.

For me the form of gooch, donaghy and o'sullivan will be too much for dublin and can only see a kerry win!

I fancy our kids to run rings around those three aul fellas as_ky :) You never know though. Donaghy has been on good form. If they play him in the middle then he could cause us some problems. Play him around the square though and our lads will tie him up. Sullivan and Gooch link up well but I'd question whether they have the stamina to track the roving Dublin backs where Philly, Cooper, McCarthy spend as much time in the opposition half as they do in their own. Shaping up nicely.

Of course Kerry want to beat Dublin in Croke Park in front of a potential 60,000 plus supporters on the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising. If it was a choice of either league or championship titles, would we prefer Sam; of course-so would Dublin or any other county.

On the form of the semi finals, I thought Dublin looked hardier, tackled better and were hungrier. I know Kerry is a confident team, excellenent football skills and definitely getting better as the league progressed but Dublin at this stage, may be too tough. Having said that I would not like to see Gooch following Philly M up and down the pitch like last years final. Someone said earlier that he wouldn't have the pace, he might well have the physical pace but it will do no good for his game and preferred role as orchestrator. Kerry will need to dictate tempo on Sunday if they are to win....that's a hard challenge against a team like Dublin. Expect a shoot out! Am looking forward to it, it's great playing the Dubs in Croke Park, fun banter and the noise!!! Kerry by two.

I'm tipping Dublin to win this fixture again. However, would a defeat for Dublin this Sunday actually be the worst thing to happen them? I think not!

Ultimately, it could be bad news for everyone else with a design on Sam later on the year, should Dublin be beaten this Sunday. While you might beat this Dublin side once in a year - the suspicion here thinks it highly unlikely this great team would be beaten twice in 2016.

On saying this, while Dublin could carry a defeat and push on after Sunday, I have my doubts that this Kerry team could. Particularly, if they get a very public hosing on Sunday - that my friends is a real possibility. Especially, if Dublin's approach shows less respect to Kerry than it did in a very cagey attitude last September. While the Kerry veterans with enormous mileage are showing tremendous form, I can't see it lasting through another August/September campaign, especially if they suffer another demoralising defeat at the hands of Dublin.

Dublin to win this Sunday but Tyrone will be their main challenger for Sam I think in 2016.

PS: Now off to the bookies with you! :-))

James I disagree....this a final in its own right this weekend.
It starts and stops on Sunday, the winner will get the silverware and the losers...well wont lose much sleep over it.

Whatever the result it will not have ANY bearing on Kerry or Dublin for the championship.

I just hope we dont suffer a demoralising heavy double-digit defeat as that would be very hard to recover from in the summer.

The likes of Meath + Kildare are just a few examples of teams who've suffered maulings at the hands of the Blue Juggernaut and have been psychologically scared in their other games because of those bad beatings

Dublin to win very well I don't know why but I have a felling in my bones they could expose an aging Kerry team this Sunday!

I predict that hermit and all his fellow county men and woman will be making that all too familiar sorrowful journey out past the Red Cow roundabout on Sunday evening while myself and all city slickers will be holed up in many of the capitals hostelries, toasting another fine victory over the old enemy and looking forward to a very long and fruitful summer.Sunday cannot come soon enough (:

Not exactly making a nostradamic type prediction there Cue.

Everyone - media , bookmakers , general public , HS posters are giving us no chance (a lot of whom think it wont even be competitve) bar some patronising comments from Jim Gavin and Bastick which should be ignored

Seriously Ky,i think we will do it by a few points, but ive already said it's 50/50.I can't see either team winning well.I think it will be a very exciting game and i wouldn't be surprised if Kerry win.If i learned anything in my life it is you don't get rich backing against Kerry or Kilkenny very often, but i can see us edging it by 3-5 points ; Dublin 3 - 15 v Kerry 2 - 13.

Kerry might just shade this one as I think they need it more and a loss would do more damage to an already bruised psyche.
Kerry by 2 points for me.
