Monaghan remind me of Donegal in 2012 - I was at the Ulster Final that year when Donegal messed about in the first half v Down and then ripped them apart in the second half. Monaghan are similar - this Monaghan side have the ability to play football for 70 mins but v Tyrone you ripped us apart and then decided to defend - WHY? and Tyrone got back in. Like Donegal in 2012 you have the ability to win the AIF but you must attack for 70 and not sit back! sam2008 (Tyrone) - Posts: 765 - 06/07/2014 18:44:14 1614714 Link 0 |
Far better today than last week, the double hit's at the start set the tone for us, mc keever on Darren and the dick on mc keever what hits. Defence were far better and Finlay and jinks strengthen us, mc Guinness don't great when he came on , hope Kieran is ok for final. Hon the Farney. hutto (Monaghan) - Posts: 171 - 06/07/2014 19:44:15 1614768 Link 0 |

Rory beggan has to be a shoe in for an all star at the moment, his kick outs today were brillant, hit a monaghan player each time, dealt with any high ball that came near him, and his freetaking unreal!!! binman53 (Monaghan) - Posts: 104 - 06/07/2014 21:19:18 1614839 Link 0 |

We played well today well done lads. When Armagh put on a bit of a fightback Finlay fired over a point to kill them off. We will need his long range scores to beat Donegal mhunicean_abu (Monaghan) - Posts: 826 - 06/07/2014 21:48:17 1614857 Link 0 |
Hard to believe that was Conor's first championship goal, and didn't he take it well. He can take points from all angles but that goal shows why we need him inside and not out foraging for the ball around between the 45s as we sometimes see, let the workers do that and keep your danger men close to goal. The likes of Hughes and Finlay are well able to deliver long and accurate ball in quickly to the likes of McManus and K Hughes inside who are both capable of winning their own ball and scoring, and we really should be scoring more goals with players like that in there. Yesterdays was a class, simple goal, and I hope to see more of the same. patk (Monaghan) - Posts: 875 - 07/07/2014 16:59:01 1615320 Link 0 |
