Being announced that the match is in Newbridge Sunday 22nd at 3.30pm. Unsure how Kildare got home advantage, maybe there is some home away arrangement with Meath

How many hurling clubs have we in Kildare? Less than 10 I'd imagine. Do we have the player base to compete in Liam McCarthy?

Ardclough, Celbridge, Coill Dubh, Confey, Clane, Broadford, Éire Óg-Corrachoill, Naas, Maynooth, Leixlip, Moorefield, Sarsfields, Kilcock, Kill, St Laurence's and Ros Glas all have teams at different levels at the moment.

Down south Castledermot, Athy and Naomh Bríd in Kildare town had teams in the past. I don't know if they still do.

Castledermot had a team in the junior league this year. Good to see clubs outside the traditional hurling stronghold starting to play. The more playing hurling, the more progress that can be made

More clubs than i thought. considering our population we should be more than capable of competing with the likes of offaly wexford dublin in leinster. needs to be more coaching done in schools. another case of the county board not doing enough to promote our games

Look to the Juvenile Leagues. Two Mile House, Rathangan, Cappagh, Athy & Athgarvan to name but a few are all putting out one or more teams at Juvenile level. Some dedicated Parents/Mentors and with some support at coaching from Kildare Coaching and games, but often they cannot get pitch time in their respective clubs as football is favoured. But great to see all the same and I hope these clubs can keep it going

What's in Navan? If you're talking about the Christy Ring match, it's in Newbridge.

The problem with the crowds at Kildare hurling matches is the location of home games. These games should be played in either Clane or Leixlip, both have the right size stands that would hold enough people, rather than the echoes around conleths park. Also they're located close to most of the the strong hurling clubs in the county. Would make far more sense.

Bon is a typical fair weather supporter, wants the games on his doorstep. He wont be with the loyal followers on the road following our county

Was talking to a lad last nite who told me that the 2 Kenny's Conor & Niall were playing senior hurling championship match for their new club Borrisoleigh in the Tipperary championship last Saturday nite, both were playing in a 2 man full forward line, both were excellent and were responsible for a lot of scores, Niall getting their only goal, they won by bout 8 pts, they were also very good in previous round.
Big loss to Kildare.

Don't be worrying about other county championships, I was at a match last week watching Kilcock vs Laurences like a true lily.I go to every club game in Kildare.

No one's worried about other counties championship, I just thought some hurling people here might be interested in how they were getting on, I believe they did all their underage and some adult hurling in Kildare. Good for you going to all club matches, ur a mighty man!

We need to focus on new talent coming through in the county, the likes of phillip corr and eoin preston seem to have fallen by the wayside. It will be interesting to see how many fair weather fans know of these rough diamonds.

While the pretense that we are football power is hindering hurling development. Hurling a far superior game. The Kennys were Celbridge lads and brilliant hurler.

Sure when Conor Kenny was minor for Kildare he was practically the main man on the county senior team. Class act.
Good man Yarnsy, I'd say kilcock/larries was edge of the seat stuff
