Whilst not always agreeing with Paudie's methods I can still wish him and the team well in their exploits on our behalf. It's not that hard to understand if you've two brain cells to rub together. bricktop (Down) - Posts: 2479 - 03/06/2019 11:36:59 2190120 Link 0 |
The Rossies will be very physical 50:50 game. I'd say Meath probably favorites to win the CRC. doubletree (Dublin) - Posts: 164 - 03/06/2019 18:58:24 2190276 Link 0 |

Evidently you don't have the former as I'd suspected. I'm straight up with my opinions. bricktop (Down) - Posts: 2479 - 06/06/2019 09:52:27 2191094 Link 1 |
Great win today! Is Daithi still here for the final or away to the big apple? RedDog68 (Down) - Posts: 281 - 08/06/2019 16:40:13 2191719 Link 0 |
Down were the better team after the 1st 5 mins. Goals win games and down should have had a lot more. Downs bench is poor. 2 red cards one apiece couldn't see why. Good ref good result, a wee day out in a fortnight. cahill (None) - Posts: 2567 - 08/06/2019 21:27:44 2191887 Link 0 |

County Board need to step up and demand that the football match against Meath be rescheduled! CarraigUladh71 (USA) - Posts: 5 - 13/06/2019 17:27:55 2194524 Link 0 |
I thought it was hurling....sure bring your footballers as well....will play half hurling half football toss to decide who plays what first.....GAA might not even notice. They could not even get the score right the last time.

Why? Croke Park is an hour or so away from the Marshes. No issues for those that want to see both. Sean O'g will give you a lift back up the road. bricktop (Down) - Posts: 2479 - 14/06/2019 11:18:15 2194764 Link 0 |
All Senior hurlers playing for an Ards club will have to play on Wednesday night I've just heard (except for our lads) bricktop (Down) - Posts: 2479 - 17/06/2019 15:23:07 2196567 Link 0 |

Sean O'g and Down CB asleep at the wheel. I think management made representations but got nowhere. Monday nights games affected 4 lads all get canned.. Full set of Antrim league fixtures on the Sunday, the day after. Player welfare is not an issue in the lower echelons of the hurling world. bricktop (Down) - Posts: 2479 - 18/06/2019 13:31:54 2197088 Link 0 |
Just went on to Antrim fixtures as I thought surely that's a wind up - That is absolutely nuts to ask that of players - wouldn't happen in big ball.

I heard Sean Og & the county board had requested the games be called off & had even went to Croke park over it but Antrim refused to accommodate. But suppose that wouldn't suit some people's agenda to admit not everything that goes wrong is the county boards fault!

Totally agree, some scribes on this page jump in with both feet ( and big mouth ) when they haven't a clue what they're talking about, but that's Down hurling all over.

So Antrim quite happy to have Down clubs prop up the standard of their top division but can't see to it to even switch one round of fixtures to help our chances in a national final. Poor form from our Ulster neighbours. Surely fixtures have some flexibility?

Well they won't want us to win the Christy ring! Because they have had about 4 goes at it recently & couldn't win it. They certainly wouldn't want their servant neighbours to win what they couldn't. Wonder can we get promoted too even if we don't win it just like our illustrious neighbours.
