The losers of the two quarter finals contest a relegation final, with the loser of that going down. As it stands only Kilburn and Pearses are safe. Great to see such an open championship this year after a few years where one or two teams dominated completely. Kilburn remain the frontrunners but don't look invincible either.

County semi-finals fixed for the same time as the all-ireland semi final between KK & LK, scandalous decision.

From the fixtures list it looks like there's a break allowed to watch the Kilkenny-Limerick match. The Emmetts/Murphys relegation match is on first, at 12, followed by Gabriels/Kilburn at half 1. Then there's a break til 17:15 when the Pearses/Treacys play. Not ideal if you're playing in the last match and would like to watch the AI semi, I know, but at least there's some chance.

So Emmetts beat the Murphys who are now relegated, Kilburn beat defending champions St Gabriel's and Treacys beat Pearses. All results probably as predicted! Hard to see Kilburn lose the final. Have a serious line up!

Emmets had a flier that scored 13 pts, investigation into it now, should be thrown out if found they did

Unless Murphys can prove it then Nothing will happen to Emmetts. County board have no backbone to counteract this kind of behaviour from clubs.

Every hurling club seems to be at it, even in county finals. Clubs don't object because they probably have illegal players themselves!

I wouldnt paint every club with the same brush. Some are at it but not all.

Officiating is a massive problem in London hurling. Ancient referees who cant keep up with the play and frankly don't know the rules, no umpires, no linesmen at senior championship games. If leadership and direction doesn't come from the top, how do you expect it from clubs.
Every club has illegals playing and guys not fully registered and transferred, no point in crying to a rubbish county board about it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the hurling out in Ruislip on Sunday. Fair play to all 6 teams. Despite atrocious conditions at times they all gave it maximum effort and it was an entertaining day.
Murphy's and Emmett's was an intriguing battle. Emmett's were a one man team on the day with their half forward scoring 14 out of 15 points. However, a lot of these were frees. The Murphy's midfield and half back line were non-stop fouling and ultimately this contributed to their downfall. Murphy's themselves were shy of quality in the forwards and only had two men capable of scoring, one of their half forwards and their full forward.
There were rumblings after the game that Emmett's had a flyer, if this was the case then i'm sure Murphy's can feel aggrieved. One man beating you on his own is heartbreaking enough but I feel Murphy's, who have been guilty of such behaviour in the past, really have done a lot to clean up their image in the past 4 years.
The Gabriel's and Kilburn game was a little faster than the previous game and had more quality in spells. Kilburn ultimately had the greater fire power but not only that their back were on top big time. Finn was ineffective and Hands was void of any quality ball. Kilburn are a real force this year and deserve the title based on performances so far but we know what hurling is like and it's not won until they're walking up the Ruislip steps to collect the cup.
Tracey's provided a real shock as I thought Pearse's were nailed on to win this game. Again there were rumblings of illegal players on the field and it has to be said there were one or two players I did not recognise. Pearse's usual centre back was a massive loss to them and maybe a little over confidence beat them in the end. They still had chances to win it with a ball crashing off the crossbar close to the end. Tracey's will feel like they've stolen the final spot away from the Pearse's. I feel Pearse's were better suited for the final and had the experience of last year to draw on.

In my honest opinion I don't think Murphy's should go down. They are certainly a step ahead of all the intermediate teams. They have given all the senior teams a good run of it in championship this year, they're worthy of their place in senior. I believe having them up senior is for the greater good of London hurling, it will make it more competitive and if the intermediate winners want to come up there's no harm in having an extra team or two in senior hurling.

photo id system was brought in to try and counteract all the illegal players but as far as I can see its been a complete waste of time as it is never enforced.
Its hard on Murphys but the promotion/relegation is in place at the start of the year and everyone is aware of it. There was an issue in the football previously when clubs didn't get relegated and teams got promoted and the senior championship became very lobsided with I think 14 teams were in senior, and only about 10 in Intermediate and Junior.
