Is it fair to say that the new league set up has been a success? While I know there have been a few one sided games it seems to be far less than previous years and divisions 1 & 2 look very competitive and as far as I am aware after 6 or 7 rounds not one walkover has been given.

Casements/Barnabas score is incorrect - Barnabas got the 3.07

Are there reserve fixtures on tonight? Does anyone have the results of last weeks reserve games?

I was wondering about the reserve games. I've not seen any fixtures on any sites in respect of the reserve sides.

Also, I think there have been walkovers in the league - Mitchells couldn't be bothered to run up to Nottingham and Barnabas repaid the favour.

Are you sure they were given as Walkovers? Mitchels v Barnabas is down for Thursday night - I presume it was postponed like nearly all the other first round games in Division 1 & 2

From looking back the only walkovers given so far i think was when Brendans failed to travel to Sons in Divsion 2?
Think the first weekends games in Div 1 & 2 were wiped out with the wet weather and are being rearranged for this week, League 2 games last night and Div 1 games tomorrow night.

Anyone have the results from last nights games?

The leagues have been a success, everyone seems to be competing so thats got to be a good thing, havent seen many of the hidings that were dished out last year so far!

Wins for Casements and Barnabas last night leaves divison one well poised. Think McDermotts are still top with 5 wins out of 6 while Casements have 4 from 6 with Barnabas and Mitchells having lost 3 & EGB losing 4. Is relegation for next year decided by league or championship?

Any results from Tuesday and Wednesdays games?

On Tuesday leicester beat sons of Erin 1-13 to 0-6 and masters beat Mary's 1-11 to 0-10. Which leaves division 2 very close. Leicester 8pts, masters7pts, Mary's 6pts, sons 5pts and Brendan's on 2pts with 3 games left.

What can I say...what a performance. It was worth the £3 entrance fee alone. It's been many a year since the Pairc was graced by such a presence on the football field. Not a foot put wrong the entire game. Bossing the match from beginning to end, interacting with spectators and even keeping the Chairman himself involved. The stand out performer in Mitchells v Casements match.

Well done James McVeigh - the man in the middle.

Shame in a shortened league season and with some teams only having 1 game left there are no updates on the league tables on the website and lads on here are having to guess. Can imagine in all 3 divisions with short seasons a lot of teams could still make their league finals or would like to know the relegation situations going into the last game.

On a side note i see the article about the young lad at Villa Jack Grealish, which club was he involved in at underage?
I heard of the young lad Crowley who is at Arsenal now who used to play for Casements at underage i think but didnt realise we had 2 ex GAA lads looking at a future in football hopefully, well done lads!

Big weekend then just gone in the league which finishes next weekend -

Div 1 - Will be Macs v Casements in the final unless Barnabus can beat both Mitchells and Macs this week to be level with Casements on points. Whats happened to Mitchells this year, team won the league last year and currently lying in 4th , seems normal service resumed for them after last year! EGB for the drop??

Div 2 - Noamh Padraig look to be back doing well after a hard year last year, they will be in the final against either Four Masters or Marys depending on next weeks results it seems. Shame Brendans didnt field again this weekend against FM, what happens with walkovers in the league if teams finish level on points?

Div 3 - Finbarrs too strong for everyone in that league it seems with 6 out of 6 wins, final will be between them and either O'Rahillys or St Josephs.
