hearing it will be a knock out Cup in Sep then championship in Oct. If so think that is wrong, if a knock out Cup , you will have teams going into championship with different amounts of games, some with only one and a couple with three Rosineri1 (UK) - Posts: 2013 - 27/08/2020 15:59:26 2289382 Link 0 |
For the year that's in it...I'll just be happy there is some games. If a team is going in having a couple of games less under the belt, then maybe a couple of challenge games or have the teams knocked out after R1 playoff against each other or something.

Board meeting tomorrow apparently, to flesh out a fixtures schedule for the Championship LondainBhoy (UK) - Posts: 34 - 01/09/2020 18:21:00 2290116 Link 0 |
apparently will be a shield competition for teams who lose first round of the Cup, so every team will get at least two games. Has it been confirmed that all teams are going to be playing or are there teams struggling? Rosineri1 (UK) - Posts: 2013 - 02/09/2020 10:38:13 2290169 Link 0 |
Junior will be a bit light this year - guessing no Naomh Padraig and I wonder if Bro Pearse will have the numbers to field a football side this year. WestAwake88 (Galway) - Posts: 65 - 02/09/2020 13:49:22 2290197 Link 0 |
No Naomh Padraig...same as last year. A PR exercise

some of the bigger clubs struggled last year, KKG and Parnells, have things picked up for them this year? Also heard earlier in the year that Neasden had a lot of transfers out with not many coming in, have they picked up anyone? Also were the draws made for championship? Haven't seen anything for hurling but for football championship groups below - WestAwake88 (Galway) - Posts: 65 - 03/09/2020 14:01:11 2290396 Link 0 |
TCG be favourites for Seniors again with Fulham putting up a challenge. You'd imagine St Kiernans and Round Towers (with possibly TMCs as dark horses) will make the semis. At Intermediate TCG and Dulwich will be too strong for the rest as both have made big strides in recent years. The Junior Championship will more than likely be between Wandsworth and St Clarets. see a few walkovers given at the weekend, also been a few cases of games being awarded due to Covid in the opening weeks. Hopefully we will see a full championship programme being completed. Rosineri1 (UK) - Posts: 2013 - 22/09/2020 13:34:17 2293560 Link 0 |
Anyone know what games are on this weekend? Am I right in thinking Junior and Intermediate championships in the football are starting? WestAwake88 (Galway) - Posts: 65 - 01/10/2020 17:02:50 2295100 Link 0 |
JFC should have been starting according to the master fixture plan link IFC and SFC slated to start next week But the only fixtures listed are Sat: St Gabriels b v Granuaile IHC (2pm) Kilburn v McCurtains SHC (4pm) Sun: Dulwich v Eire Og Murphy Cup final (12pm) Parnells v Garryowen Sheils Cup final (2pm) St Kiernans v TCG Tipperary Cup final (4pm) all five games at Ruislip That's assuming it's not water polo they're playing given the forecast. but a bit more digging reveals at least two JFC games Londonish (UK) - Posts: 13 - 01/10/2020 18:38:48 2295123 Link 0 |
The elements could have a big say on what goes where in the next few weeks. On Sunday you'd expect Dulwich, Garryowen and TCG to come out on top.
