Leitrim v Carlow

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Looking for a win at home to top the division 4 table

We need to build on a scoring difference to make sure we finish 1st or second

Lets hope the weather improves and we can continue our unbeaten role for another week

Brendan Murphy unavailable for the rest of the year. Will be in Lebanon for 6 months with the Armed Forces. Can't see Carlow doing much in his absence.

our biggest weakeness v carlow here could be our mentality, so what murphy is gone, the task isnt any easier, it will be 2 hard fought points and if we only win by 1 that will do me however score difference could make a major difference when the shake up comes

any word if paul brennan is back and any news on who has left the squad

Agree unigaa they still have 15 men on the field

But our mentality has to be a one of win at all costs

Young mulligan from mohill

He ticks all the boxes and won us a second fbd league

He's young fast accurate and hungry

Maybe not the big strong man that mossy is but he makes up for it with speed and several other areas

Scored a lovely goal against wool'r'us in the fbd final and hasn't hardly got a mention since

Shane moran is the man for the number 14 jersey, big strong and a good fielder of the ball.

Emmett mahon could be the man for number 14 providing he has recovered from injury but he did play some part for kiltubrid last friday

Moran is a good forward but more suited to 10 right half forward working off his club mate Wayne McKeon at 7 they make a great combination and play well together

Mahon has the size and power similar to mossy and knows how to take his scores too also good on frees long and short

So either mahon or young mulligan whichever is injury free and game fit

Midfield would be the next avenue to look at as mossy drops back so is Sweeney game fit?

He made a great impact in the few games he came on in

Kevin conlon and Robert Lowe also have plenty of experience in full forward so we have plenty of options which is a good complaint

Half back line of Gary Reynolds Wayne McKeon and Paul Brennan with Shane Foley ready to come in

Full back line of paddy Maguire donal wrynne and ciaran Egan or is wynne back yet

With the names there I mentioned any leitrim man would have a glimmer of confidence going into a game

if we have a solution at midfield i would consider emlyn and robbie lowe inside as a 2 man line, moran or whoever comes in as the 3rd midfielder

worked well in NY last year take robbie lowe out of 11 maybe throw conlon there

havent seen enough of mahon to say if he is strong enough for ff, as 94 says moran out the field better going forward than with his back to goal

nice to be positive unlike our county newspaper raking up 2013

I would guess Hagan is going to go for another target man style 14 in the Beirne style. I can't say I have seen much of Shane Moran playing in there but he would fit the bill. Best wishes to Mossy hopefully he will recover quickly

I think it's time they were banned from all leitrim GAA events

If they can't print anything positive about the people of the county that they are writing about then it's time to close the doors on them

We have a great young team with some experienced players their for guidance

We have a good manager with an impressive backroom team

Unbeaten coming into the third month of the year and one of our pillar players has a work accident and the observer comes out with nothing but negativity

It's not good enough

And in my book it's not acceptable

Just came on to wish Tomas Beirne a full and speedy recovery,I predicted Leitrim being one of the teams to get promoted this year and I see no reason to change my mind on that wheather you win to morrow or not, in the mean time let the best team win.
