Here comes moycullen, big performance in a dead rubber but still, shots fired. mise87 (Galway) - Posts: 199 - 29/08/2020 19:40:15 2289696 Link 0 |
think you are a bit harsh on oughtererd, they played against corofin first game and had more goal chances than they did today against st.james. They came up against the best team in ireland on first day in senior, bet monivea by a point and between concannon/conroy james pulled away in second half, no shame in that. I agree about moycullen, 2nd best team in the county i think.

Oughterard very poor all game. St James the far better team throughout and they havnt looked great this year either. galway6 (Galway) - Posts: 42 - 29/08/2020 21:55:19 2289718 Link 0 |
What a year so far for Barna galwayfball (Galway) - Posts: 1269 - 30/08/2020 14:51:48 2289768 Link 0 |
Fair play to them. 3 tight games and 3 wins in a very competitive group. They couldn't buy a group match win for the last few years. They'll have plenty confidence now for the quarters.

I can't remember having a Barna lad in the county set up. Anyone worth taking about on that team? Or is it the system?

They had their fair share of lads on the cointy setup but they can't seem to keep within that setup.

Oisin Gormley is a serious prospect.

Disappointing result for Claregalway given the higher expectations this year. Very young team overall, missing some battle hardened older players when up against physically stronger teams. Still good potential but likely to be 2-3 years before they're ready to challenge top 3-4 teams. galway2015 (Galway) - Posts: 33 - 30/08/2020 19:17:08 2289798 Link 0 |
Theyve had a few lads called in over the years but never managed to make the panel. Anytime I've seen them the past few years no one had stood out but obviously they're a completely different prospect this year. Manager has obviously instilled a belief within the team.

So the relegation championship is starting to warm up Monivea Caheristrande MB Spiddal. Open draw I believe. Anyone guess Stripsandbanners (Galway) - Posts: 31 - 30/08/2020 20:43:20 2289825 Link 0 |
Strange that with the hugely competitive nature of intermediate that 2 x 2019 finalists are back in relegation. Having said that i have a sneaking suspiciion that monivea or caherlistrane could end up intermediate for 2021
