Carlow vs Waterford

Best possible draw we could have got. Sets up another chance of a win hopefully.

Great draw. Well done on Saturday lads.

Loved it.

Clare beat Waterford in last round but both centre field players for Waterford were black carded for quite a lot of the game. Considering the super performance of the Waterford pair for the full hour against Carlow, I feel Carlow have a mighty chance of going to the next round. It needs serious effort but it's there for the taking if they can repeat the determined play of last Saturday
They won't repeat the short hand-passing of last week I hope - spread out the players instead. Good luck

well done to Dan St Ledger for making HS 'team of the week' some small recognition for him and the team for turning around from the Meath debacle. While Clare will be a step up let us see what the panel is made of - the challenge will be to see that it was no one- off.

Will Broderick be available for selection ?

Any word on whether Broderick and Gahan were able to train this week or how their injuries are? Will need both fit for the Clare game, if we are to get a win.

The draw in the hurling today could be a boost to our chances as the replay will surely be next weekend which presumably will rule Clare's dual players out of the football match against us.

Podge Collins was sent off so he will probably now be suspended for hurlers but free to play football next weekend.
Only other dual player is his brother Sean and so far he has been released for all football matches, so he'll probably be playing also.

I am unclear as to whether the suspension to Collins carries through to the football. Can someone clarify ?
