Galway beating Armagh would not be a shock. Wexford could also run Derry close . Tyrone will beat Meath !

Derry v Wexford = Derry, but not by much. Potential for a surprise result but I think home advantage is key here.
Tyrone v Meath = Tyrone with a bit to spare.
Tipperary v Louth = Tipp with alot to spare.
Armagh v Galway = Armagh but not by much. Galway win would not be a surprsie but home advantage is key here also. Closest looking contest on paper.

Galway are a good team and need to stay focussed on the game to get a result. My understanding is that some of the Orange Parade people actually watch gaelic and fair play to them that is great for our island. Gaillimh Abu

The sad truth is that Meath have a problem with most opposition, be it blanket or all out attack. But think this is a good draw for us, will be serious underdogs with little expectations. Going to be hard if not impossible to lift the spirits after yesterday, but certainly not writing us off just yet. Think Galway will get over Armagh.

DERRY V WEXFORD: The first Qualifier game is a tough one, as its the game where a manager has to pick the team up and convince them they still can have a good year. Wexford are always decent, and will punish any Inconsistency Derry show, and after that mess against Longford last year, Derry should have learned. I watched the highlights of Wexford v Down, and Down were well beaten. I think Derry will have a positive mindset after the Donegal game though, and that should carry them through.
Verdict: Derry

TYRONE V MEATH: Tyrone should overcome this current Meath team, although they won't get it easy. While Meath clearly have problems at full back, they still can hurt any team they come up against. Any sign of complacency from Tyrone, could easily be punished.
Verdict: Tyrone

ARMAGH V GALWAY: I think Galway will be favourites in that game. Armagh just haven't got a run at it this year, and I think Galway have the firepower to punish some of the defensive woes Armagh are experiencing this year.
Verdict: Galway

TIPPERARY V LOUTH: This is a tricky game to call, as you have the Tipp young guns trail blazing and Louth side who can cause any side problems on their day. Most people will look at the National League, and probably favour Tipperary to win this. But Louth are a team who are more than capable of beating Tipperary, they are a gritty team. For that reason, I think this will be a shock.
Verdict: Louth

Great draw for the ulster teams in being kept apart and I would love to be able to attend both the Tyrone and Armagh games. From Tyrone's point of view a home draw is great and against a traditional big gun it should draw a good crowd. Tyrone are certainly not able to take any game for granted at the moment and it smacks a bit like the Armagh game of last season when everyone tipped Tyrone. Armagh v Galway another great clash of two big guns and a hard one to call. Home advantage may get Armagh home. Tough draw for Louth and Tipp should win. Derry v Wexford is a dangerous game for Derry as favourites and there maybe an upset here.

Were just been cautious!!!! Big difference to being afraid!! You can only use the word " afraid " when your playing Dublin!!

Provincial football is way different to Qualifier football. Anything can happen.

With Antrim beating Laois & then Wexford beating Down just shows if your in the mindset that you'll win easy it can back fire. There will be a few more shocks yet!!!

To be honest I don't like the way this thread is going. After 35 minutes yesterday Meath were a good team playing great football according to the Sunday game. Then they fell apart in the second half. Its evident they have good scoring ability but obviously tyrone will be more "Organised" than W'Meath were in the first half yesterday. Meath will be hard to beat and people saying that away to Tyrone is difficult, I'm not a fan of Omagh. There is something that gives me the shakes about that place going to watch Tyrone play. Even yesterday wasn't a great performance to beat Limerick and think the scoreline flatters us slightly.

Sepp hahaha, you are a gas man. I predicted we'd lose to Kerry and I predict we will beat Louth but like Wild Pundit I tenatively say that as you have to give each teams their dues especially in the qualifiers. I don't think there is anyone in Tipp getting carried away about the merits of our footballers.

Kingdomboy, I would give anything for that to happen.

Tyrone will beat Meath unfortunately, but a Meath team who cannot last pace for 70 minutes against Westmeath will find it hard in omagh.

Disaster again for Wexford. Westmeath, then Down and now Derry.

The qualifier system is a joke. This A and B thing is rubbish. It really is.

The A side has Offaly, Kildare, Clare, Longford, Cavan, Roscommon, Fermanagh and Antrim. A lot different to the B side which has Derry, Tyrone, Meath, Armagh, Galway, Wexford, Louth and Tipperary. Totally different strengths. And not only that, but the B side had Down and Limerick in the first round too. It's an absolute shambles.

Lads I am excited. Away to Armagh, athletic grounds, what a test of Kevin and the teams credentials. A win might really set them up. These are the type of games you need to win if you have any notions of breaking into that top 6 later in the year. Lose and we are not good enough for that level anyway. I planning on going on the Friday night. Whats that weekend like in Armagh, anyone know?

The A and B thing is a joke. I haven't seen any better scheduling as a result of it. And then it just seems plain weird. How is it that Limerick were in B side of the draw but the team that beat them Clare are on the A side of the draw?
