if etrigal III's were good enough to get promoted to div 1, would it be allowed to happen? if indeed errigal 1's were for talk sake relegated and their 3's promoted what would happen?

Do you honestly think for one second that if they weren't allowed to go up they would be in a play-off? The mind boggles at times. If they did happen to go up, it wouldn't say much for the rest of Div 3 or the team in the Div 2 relegation spot.

Erigal 3rds are in the playoff because they can be promoted to Div2. However they cannot be promoted to Div1.

If they go up fair play to them I say- the odds are defnitley against them, and I disagree that it wouldnt say much for the rest of div3 or the team in div2 relegation spot, give them credit instead of diminishing their opposition.

Errigal Ciaran Juniors aren't allowed to go to Div 1, so its going to be an anti-climactic season next year whenever the Thirds win the intermediate double and can't get promoted.

Errigal is a massive parish, and they should consider doing what Clonoe parish have done. They have four teams in the parish i.e. Clonoe, Derrylaughlin, Derrytresk and Brockagh. That means they can have a couple of teams playing senior as well as intermediate and junior. Can you imagine what type of team would come from that parish if they came under one team, the same way as Errigal do.

Interesting results yesterday at both sides of div 2 playoffs! Loughmacrory straight down to div 3, although you would have to think they will bounce straight back up? An even stranger result was the hammering Strabane gave Derrytresk, was anyone at the game, did Derrytresk just not show up or was the gap just that big?

I'd say Derrytresk maybe didn't want to go up?

having seen the strabane-derrytresk game, cant say derrytresk didnt want to up. heard they even brought one or two players home from university outside of ireland for the game, why do that if the team werent to try? strabane have been beat once at home all year, by cookstown who have won the double. strabane are a changed team from the relegation scrappers they were! only have to look at their defence. conceded 6 goals all year in the league, next closest to that was the rock with 9, and is the lowest across all 3 leagues

Strabane were a much hungrier team and played some outstanding football. They will be very hard to beat in the remaining two games.
