Maryland V Castledaly Castledaly are a good team to fight when it matters think they'll win here with Maryland minus Callum

Tyrellspass V Kinnegad Tpass here but only just

Caulry V Athlone Athlone showing promise will win here

You'd have to hand it to Ballinagore. Every year most posters have them as favourites to be relegated at the start of the Championship and every year they prove them all wrong. Great pride for such a small club and area ! Would have been hard to predict who will be dropping this year alright - it's one of Ballinacarrigy, Ballymore or Bunbrosna now.

Bunbrosna's lack of underage teams is starting to show itself very quickly.
They'll be junior soon

Bunbrosa itself very small, but just to ask, from mullingar to longford border good distance , where do all children here play with, you have 2 little villages so you should have a small number of children here

Bun don't have any primary school feeding in to their club. Not one. It was a great achievement for them to win two intermediate championships and to stay senior for as long as they did. Unfortunately they will probably cease to exist in the near future.

Rathowen school kids should play with Bun. Kids living in Ballinalack too & street?

The problem is that since Multy have got their new pitch and are far more organised at underage the squeeze has come on Bun.
They need their own underage up to U12 at least

Multyfarnham has a thriving community spirit which Bunbrosna can't compete with at the moment. In ladies football the blue and maroon are combined in the same jersey of Clann Gaels.
The men had the chance to go down the same road but a few die hards blocked it and now that ship has sailed and Bun find themselves on a deserted island

Clubs need to seriously start considering amalgamating at adult level....bun should join multy, tang and maryland should combine, shandonagh ,loughnavalley and ballymore, kilbeggan st.josephs and ballinagore should all combine...makes sense

Shandonagh don't need to amalgamate with anyone. They have huge numbers underage. Had about 5/6 county minors this year. I think Bun will go with Multy in the next couple of years.

What good will it do? Less kids will get a chance to play. Less adults too.
the GAA is about getting people playing sport, not winning trophies

So we know how the IFC knockouts now
Milltownpass V Shandonagh - Winners play Rosemount
Tubberclare V St.Marys - Winners play Tang

Ballymore V Ballnacaragy in the Relegation playoff

Can see M'pass and Tubberclare getting through. Relegation game is very hard to call and will be a fiesty affair!

No great surprises in the senior going as predicted, except Caulry v Athlone it took Caulry a long time to wake up this year far better team than their results have indicated.

It does. BUT, you cannot be knocked out of the championship by these means. So if two teams finish 3rd and 4th in a group on the same points then they must play off.

That's true, which means if castledaly beat the downs in senior, there'll be a three way play off between those two and whoever wins between garrycastle and Maryland.
