I was out at the games over the weekend. No referee turned up for the first fixture, Fulham Irsih vs St. Gabriel's B. Absolute joke, if teams do not turn up they're fined. That game was only a practice game but in truth, it was dyer to watch. I suppose when the contest was gone out of it there was little or no interest in it. Both teams fumbled their way through, neither looked great. Some decent individuals on both sides. Fulham are capable of much better and I expect them to get better as the championship rumbles on. I fear St.Gabriel's will be weakened by losing some of their team to the senior side over the next couple of weekends. I expect these two to make the semi-finals.
The second game was a decent game, decent in standard for London intermediate hurling. Father Murphy's looked out of sorts. Their big hurlers didn't perform on the day, especially centre back, midfield and centre forward. McCurtain's completely dominated in these positions and looked really comfortable throughout. McCurtain's took their chances well. Murphy's had a few missed goal chances which could have been changed the outcome. Murphy's were lacking upfront, their full forward done most or all of their scoring and after that there was little threat from anywhere else. I recognise they were missing some big names who were on the sidelines through injury. McCurtain's looked strong and eager and seemed to be at full strength, possibly missing one or two. McCurtain's are strong contenders for the championship and will be high in confidence, rightly so. I expect Murphy's to regroup and they will still be there in the final knockings.

unfortunately I was away on holiday and missed this weekends games. Anyone with a report on them? Kilburn Gaels and St. Gabriel's topping the table, Pearses in danger of missing out on the semi-finals? McCurtain's dominating the intermediate. Will Fulham, Gabriel's or Murphy's put up a challenge?

Strong rumour that the Bros Pearses have been thrown out of the championship for giving 2 walkovers in the competiton...Confusion as to whether the Treacys have been thrown out as its reported that they also may have been guilty of giving 2 walkovers...Its all up in a heap altogether as to who is playing who now..Good grief..

Things have got a bit messy to be honest ADAMA. Apparently Treacy's and Brother Pearces have been thrown out of the competition for not fielding twice in the group stages. So I would presume that an open draw will take place to decide the semi final pairings. That's what I've heard anyway but you know yourself that could change.

Well Lads, did anyone see that result coming???Emmetts beating the Kilburn at the weekend in the semi final. Im sure everyone fancied kilburn to win the County never mind beat the Emmetts..To be fair to the Emmetts they hurled very well throughout and only for a 10 minute spell when the kilburn went ahead in the second half the Emmetts led for most of the game. The Emmetts midfielder Healy was outstanding and was probably the difference between the sides at the end. The ref also played some amount of injury time as was stated in the Irish post today. Gabriels beat Treacys easy enough which was expected i suppose. Will be a good final and very hard to call to be honest..
