I feel that the ccc will need to place sanctions on teams And players with repeated red or black cards. The rule that a player can be sent off in a sfc one week and then is free to play after a week in another competition such as league or cup match is lubricious as it would not happen in other sports. Surely a red card warrants at least a 3,match ban Second red card in the season a 6 match ban and after that longer bans should apply to act as a deterant as players are abusing the system as the penalties are so meaningless .

Following these pathetic rules. I guess that Harrigan who was sent off in the home grown final v macs will now be able to line up for EGB in the B Championship final v. St Brendans at the weekend

hagan and Lethal , I am coming to the conclusion that you are the same person . All your negative comments towards Macs. All the blame seems to be directed at the Macs man , but it takes two to tango, EGB lad is no angel himself

So because somebody is no angel does that make it acceptable? It's the action that has do be punished, whom the action was against is irrelevant.

Yes indeed mayoallstar, some of the comments here are lethal, the only victim being a balanced view.
Sorry hagan no news from the ccc just yet, just trying to decide on the next county chairman at the minute. Me thinks our efforts will not be to your liking.
Now that is just a wild shot in the dark.

Lethal, no it doesn't make it acceptable. But we're you at the game ??? And did you see the incident ??? If you did you would not be pointing the finger of blame at the Macs man. Now please be honest with your reply

You're all getting very confused here, I'm not justifying the home grown final as a 'wee scuffle' I'm addressing your constant moaning about the way McDermott's play the ball. If any of ye were there then you may have noticed who instigated the fight in the very first place. As I have said several times, Macs are no angels and are regularly involved in fights and incidents HOWEVER we play the game better than any of you other teams and we wouldn't be winning silverware if it wasn't for that fact! Like I said, if you spent more time down the training ground and less time acting the keyboard warrior then you might have a go at us next year!

has anything been decided on the macs vs egb incident? how come the CCC haven't gave out any bans? its took a very long time for them to sort this out and in my opinion is very unfair as the bans will now be leading in to next years season!!

Happy new yae to all GAA fans in the Midlands!

There is a fixtures meeting today at Pnh to discuss 2015 fixtures and the big debates will be whether the ccc will relagate EGB to division 2 next year And promote N Padraig to division 1 where they are not keen to go up to as shown clearly with their non show in the 2014 division 2 final v St Mary's who then won the league title by default even tough they finished some points behind their Leicester counterparts .

Any views?

Whilst I doubt Leathal will agree his beloved Leicester should be promoted that is the way it should be, no point EGB arguing they are too strong to go down they were a farce in league so deserve it plus two years ago gave number of walk overs in league and we're lucky not to be relegated then. The rules were agreed at start of year and certain 'senior'
representatives agreed them so they shouldn't complain now if it doesn't suit them.

Never mind the relegation promotion issues what was the outcome of the abandoned game last year. Swept under the carpet I suppose.

Harp46Brum, as far as I am aware there is no discussion on this matter, EGB are relegated to division 2, with NP coming up . This was agreed at the previous convention when the league structure was put in place. No debate on it at all

A six month ban for the player concerned I believe Hagan.

Think its harsh promoting Leicester and relegating EGB if it was against the wishes of both clubs. Leicester will be annihilated in League 1, EGB may aswell play their reserves in League 2. The only way teams improve and clubs stay strong is competition, being hammered week in week out or hammering teams week in week out is no good for anybody

thats the way league work, you win it you get promoted, no point competing if there isnt any reward no?

Leicester are coming because they won the league and they want to come up. This is just EGB whinging.
