Replying To giveitlong:  "Corofin to do enough to win +5 or 6
Jimmies to win by 3 or 4
MM + 1 or 2 though JD a huge loss.
Barna to shock Tuam
C'listrane yes by 3 or 4
Spiddal to see off Monivea as per my earlier post."
You will get good odds on James' to beat Moycullen by 3 or 4

Any word on the MB v Caherlistrane relegation match? Will it be going ahead? MB didn't field in the junior championship at the weekend.

What was the reason? Is it Covid related?

If the rumour mill is anything to go by. Yes.

Replying To WanPintWin:  "So it's the job of the club to assume the ref might have made a mistake in score-keeping? They have enough on their plate trying to focus on winning a must-win match against a good team.
The ref is responsible for score-keeping. He made a mistake in this case, which cost a team the win.
No matter how you spin it, that's what happened. Based on that, an appeal against the result is absolutley valid. It's also important that issues like this are raised so they don't happen again."
I agree their appeal is valid.
I just think it wont go anywhere.
Any team I've ever been involved with would always get the half time score from the ref to know exactly where you stand for the second half.
The ref made a mistake, no doubt about it but the result will stand.

An Spideal's appeal was successful. Match is now recorded as a draw match 1-13 0-16.

Championship continues as normal. Change of result doesn't affect anything. Matter of principle for the club it seems.

Does that result not put St Michael's into relegation and An Spideal are safe?

No. Spiddal now have 1 point . St Michaels have 2

Exactly. It was important to raise the issue and despite many saying it wasn't worth it, the county board acknowledged the error and corrected the score. It doesn't address the issue of An Spidéal being told they needed a goal, when a point from the tap-over free on the last play would have actually won the game, but it'll hopefully put more focus on ensuring this doesn't happen again.
All have moved on to this weekend's games.

Well nothing surprising about salthill v corofin. Corofin not really trying but winning very comfortably

I think if / when they play moycullen corofin will have heard all this talk of them being real challengers and will want to remind us why they are AI champions and will really show up . Just like they wanted to welcome the intermediate champions to senior football
