Well folks how do ye feel about playing Donegal in plem round? We have a new manager this year so only time will tell if we can get a good run going.

I fancy our chances depending on several factors , team ethic and workrate of two years ago and we could be singing all the way home from ballybofey!

I think you'll find the only one saying we would beat Donegal is your neighbour from Sligo. Lets face it Antrim are not world beaters, however I would perfer to meet Donegal than have last years draw. I would be cautiously optimistic of an antrim win.

If St Galls succeed in get the Ulster final, then beating Donegal in the Championship will become so much harder, give that our match is the Preminary match, and trying to introduce the St Galls lads this year late in the season was not a great success. Hopefully we have learnt from last season and I wish St Galls go on and do a back to back.

I would imagine Donegal will pose an altogether new threat this year. While some would rubbish Jimmy Mac, i would predict he will be thorough in his preparation!
Think youre spot on with the galls men coming back in late last year. While i share your conclusion, i cant accept your reasons. For me the biggest problem is how the squad feel as a result of these players coming back - and that needs to be addressed!

If any of the players have a problem with St Gall's lads coming back late as they have won an All-Ireland title, then they are a bunch of jealous children. Seriously, could you imagine the same problem arising with Crossmaglen/Armagh, Nemo/Cork, Ballyhale/Kilkenny etc etc? I have no doubt some players were irked at the St gall's players coming back in, but they really need to have a long look at themselves. If that attitude prevails within the squad, then don't expect us to get anywhere ever.

St. Galls have the best players in Antrim and they have proved it,any manager would be a fool not to include them when they become available.

Correct , from a county you pick your best players and StGalls have many of our best players . I dont see a bad attitude among them bar maybe one

maybe we should send the st.galls team out to play for the county then since they dont link well with players from other clubs lol

its a tricky one because i admire them as a club team and i admire many as individualists but bar one or two they dont bring the same sharpness with them when they put on the county jersey

I don't think its a question of the ability of the St Galls players but more down to how they fitted in to the team this past year when they came back from the AI Club Championship. Any team which has been used playing together would find it hard to gel together when a number of new players are added in and I think Antrim fell away a bit for a period after their introduction. Of course, if they were in for a longer period and we had a more settled County team then they would make up the basis of our team. I suppose what I'm trying to say is, from a pure County selfish point only, I'd like to see St Galls go out at an earlier stage of the AICC to give Baker more time to get his Championship team together - especially now we're in Div 2 of the NFL and there's an opportunity to play better class teams.

Great to have drawn Donegal,it makes our progress in the championship a lot easier. We should dispose of easily, they tend to "bottle"it like they against us two years ago.
