There's no other stadium even close to holding 82,300 jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 16/10/2015 12:05:20 1799360 Link 0 |
it is more so for the early rounds of the provincial championships rather than the later stages of the All Ireland series so they wouldn't need somewhere to hold an 82,000 capacity realistically. meathman1999 (Meath) - Posts: 3 - 16/10/2015 12:46:30 1799390 Link 0 |
I dont mind who plays where as long as there is a pitch. But if i was a dubs fan id love the chance to see some other grounds. Sure there was only 48k at the final last year so it would be good to have the quarters and possibly semi in different spots. Its part of the GAA (for me) taking road trips and visiting new places and meeting new people DoireCityFC (Derry) - Posts: 1580 - 16/10/2015 13:41:00 1799422 Link 0 |

Nowlan Park Dimensions = 145 x 88m jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 16/10/2015 14:37:37 1799451 Link 0 |
I think this thread is getting away from the original point. It's not unreasonable to expect Dublin to be away from Croke Park for a first round game but that's really all. I've been to a couple of double headers in Croker over the last few years where Dublin were there too and the attendance was around the 30,000 mark so putting them as s single game in 24,000 capacity Nowlan Park should be easily doable. After that then definitely Croke Park is the only option because you are into Leinster semis and the crowd will increase. kildare73 (Kildare) - Posts: 854 - 16/10/2015 14:44:36 1799458 Link 0 |
There should be a home and away arrangement between Dublin and all other leinster counties as there currently is between most counties in leinster. Dublins home games should be in parnell park, the leinster final should be in croke park.. Dublin would still win but they would definitely be closer games. I am sure a lot of dublin fans would enjoy the days out around the grounds... dec (None) - Posts: 271 - 16/10/2015 14:51:27 1799459 Link 0 |

Dublin playing away from Croke park gives one of the 2nd tier teams a chance to do what Japan did. crikey (Australia) - Posts: 355 - 19/10/2015 13:09:54 1800159 Link 0 |
it will be great for the opposition fans, don't have to spend as much as if they were travelling to Dublin kerryluck (Kerry) - Posts: 2517 - 19/10/2015 13:25:42 1800175 Link 0 |
