The standard has gone down throughout Ireland including Kerry. kerryrowz (Kerry) - Posts: 833 - 10/12/2014 10:07:50 1677748 Link 0 |
Athclaith what are you talking about blanket defences sure they'd never allow that in Kerry haha. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 10/12/2014 10:09:28 1677749 Link 0 |
I think SAM is going WEST next year. (not saying what county though) s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5518 - 10/12/2014 10:13:12 1677750 Link 0 |
Hey clondalkin ye better make the most of it while we're in transision , because we've sorted out our underage in the county and it won't be long till we dominate again ;-) . KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 10/12/2014 10:22:54 1677757 Link 0 |
Weren't Dublin meant to be 'invincible' this season, or maybe Jim McGuinness didn't get that memo? brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 10/12/2014 10:31:33 1677764 Link 0 |
Dublin may or may not win the All-Ireland next year. But it would seem that the old proverb pride before a fall still hasn't registered with some Dublin folks! I vaguely recall similar sentiments being expressed late last August. If only I could remember exactly what happened then?!? Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9155 - 10/12/2014 10:32:38 1677765 Link 0 |
Lockjaw we got bet we thought we could go all out attack against the parked bus but it didn't work we've learned from it and will be ready next year cause we still have by a country mile the best panel of players in ireland. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 10/12/2014 10:35:42 1677767 Link 0 |
In fairness to Clondalkin, he's only nailing his colours to the mast. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13718 - 10/12/2014 11:12:32 1677787 Link 0 |
A bit like the hurling this time last year, its hard to know who is going to win the All-Ireland. Hard to know where all the teams are at. The contenders are Kerry, Mayo, Donegal and Dublin. deadybai (Kilkenny) - Posts: 63 - 10/12/2014 11:38:00 1677798 Link 0 |
Haha they looked ordinary so does everyone when you play into Donegal's hands just ask Kerry Cork and Mayo of 2012, kerry has shown what you have to do to beat the blanket. For the first 25 minutes of that game I haven't seen a team play better football in this decade. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 10/12/2014 12:04:54 1677804 Link 0 |
Also think its dubs to throw away. They got caught or complacent against Donegal. As cd said they destroyed them for 20 minutes. Then couldn't hit side of barn and defended like a poor u12 side. Can't see it happening twice. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 10/12/2014 15:45:11 1677861 Link 0 |
In my opinion, Dublin have a point to prove next year, and will do the necessary work to get where they need to get to. Seeing as kerry are still in transition, I suspect they will against all the odds, beat cork in the munster final, galway in the quarter finals, sneak past ulster opposition in the semi finals and win a remarkable all ireland by beating dublin in the final. I still find it so funny how some of the Dublin posters on here are still so bitter that we won the allireland , you'd swear that we beat them in the final instead of Donegal. I love it. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 11/12/2014 10:26:22 1677967 Link 0 |
Ya it remind me of the mid 90's when they had a fab team in all fairness to them that were but were missing that final edge but every year was "their year" until they lost to Meath [91], Donegal [92], Derry [93] and Down [94]- still laugh at the 1992 all Ireland and their "home coming" open top bus planned for O'Connell street on the Monday ... that still went ahead.. priceless Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5491 - 11/12/2014 10:34:26 1677968 Link 0 |
Cluxton 33, A Brogan 32, B Brogan 31, B Cullen 31, MDMA 29, P Flynn 29, D Bastick 34, G Brennan 31 & E O Gara 30. GAAHattrick (Dublin) - Posts: 278 - 11/12/2014 10:34:41 1677969 Link 0 |
Sorry I should add to that last comment that last year has shown that you only put your hand out to be slapped when signing your own teams praises and invincibility before a ball has even been kicked in champo. Never mind a ball not kicked in the whole season. The usual Kerry, Dublin, Mayo & Donegal will be there. Think its between Dublin & Kerry this year. Gaahattrick are you not allowed to believe in your team? I believe that my team is the best and have learned from the stupidity of last years semi final and Sam '15 will be ours. I promise you if I were on here in the 00's I would not be saying what I'm saying now about Dublin. Kerry were the fourth best team last year but luck was on there side so you never know but I'm very confident in my team. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 11/12/2014 11:11:08 1677980 Link 0 |
