Rathnew victorious once again and they couldn't be denied the win. They fought hard and kept the pressure on Pats all through the game. Pats missed a lot of scoring chances which could of came down to the pressure Rathnew put on them but they missed frees, a peno and an early goal chance that I couldn't believe did not end up in the net. Pats player made a sliding tackle at it instead of leaving it to the player standing right in front of goal, either way Rathnew defenders were excellent.

Not the best game I've ever watched but finals go like that because teams want the result only and will do anything to get it. If Pats took their scoring chances and didn't have so many wide's they may have sneaked the win but at the same time Rathnew hit the crossbar in the first attack. Decent game, fair result, ref seemed ok to me. Pats should be there again next year id imagine because they have a strong team and will be unlikely to miss as many chances at scores again.

Well done Rathnew, backs and Dignam were super. That said you can miss that many chances and expect to win a co.final.
i fancy Rathnew to overcome Rathvilly aswell in 2 weeks time.

Hoping that the village can get a run in Leinster but with 2 players injured i doubt we will see any victory
