Congrats to Anthony's on winning the Championship. It seems like Clarets bottled it when the where put under pressure. My prediction of them winning it handy turned out not be correct.

Its also great to see Garryowen who are playing in division 3 become a senior club.

St Anthony's didn't deserve to win, they had an illegal player playing which I think is been looked into. Clarets threw it away, had the game in the bag. St Anthony's were outplayed for 50 mins

Serious accusation to be throwing around!!! Did they score 1.6 without reply in last 15 minutes??

Clarets have no one to look at bar themselves in this one. They threw it away. They controlled the game for 50 odd minutes. Mcnulty took the ball into the tackle too many times, took too much out of the ball when there was no need to. Anthonys had one or two forwards at best, one in particular who led the way in the comeback. Had Clarets made an attempt to nullify him they would be champs.

No doubt it this is one Clarets left behind. Completely dominant for 45 minutes of the game. St Anthony's had loads of early possession and could easily been 4 or 5 scores up after 10 minutes. After that Clarets took over. Clever at keeping a hold of the ball they had a better return for their efforts and had Anthony's game plan sussed out. They managed the sweeper really well in comparison to St Anthony's and every drive forward from St Anthony's was broken done with ease. Clarets carried on where they left off early in the second have and by the 43min where 1-8 to 0-3 ahead. Remarkably they wouldn't score again. Between that and the 50 minutes Clarets had at least 4 more scoring chances and on a least 2 of them went for goals when points would have probably been sufficient. Anthony's scored a goal on 50 minutes and even at that point if seemed like it was only a consolation score. However they quickly tagged on a few points and as momentum grew you could sense that there was a sniff of the get out of jail card been played and when they drew level on the hour mark you sensed we were set for another day out. Not to be however as Anthony's went for the jugular and created a winning score. No time for clarets to do anything about it as that was it.
No matter how many times Clarets look back at this game they will never figure out how they lost it. As another poster commented you won't win anything playing for 50 minutes

'ImClass' Huge statement to be making about Anthonys fielding an illegible player, more information? Anthonys seem to have wanted it more then Clarets in the end, has to be the shock of the season.

Is there any substance to this claim about the "alleged" illegal player?

Don't think the County Board are aware of it.

Anyways, I'm sure "ImClass" will provide evidence to back up his statement. Very big move to cast aspersions over a team's achievement so you'd want to be 100% sure before making such a statement. Worth pointing out that "ImClass" didn't say they "might" have fielded an ineligible player, the statement was "they had an illegal player playing".

"I'm Class" The Anthony's lads are laughing at the comment you made and was determination that won it for them. You should go back in your box

Rumor mill going 90 over Clarets being potentially regraded to intermediate? Any truthfulness in this?
