No but I remember getting serious sunburn sitting up on the old hill. I looked like a Tyrone flag by the end of the day half red & half white

Was one of the first Tyrone games I ever went to. It was a roasting hot day, the first game was a tight affair with Tyrone lucky to snatch a draw thanks to a very late Scotchy Conway free. The replay was warm too but not quite as bad. Tyrone won comfortably; 2-13 to 0-07 I believe. We had high expectations that year of All-Ireland success but played badly against Mayo in the semi-final and were beat. I can't recall the whole team but here's as close as I can recall:

Nets: Aidan Skeleton
Full backs: ______ F. McGarvey T. Lynch
Half backs: K.McCabe E. Kilpatrick N.McGinn
Midfield: P. Donaghy H. McClure
Half forwards: ______ C. Corr S. Conway
Full forwards: D.O'Hagan E. McKenna S. McNally

Sub: J. Mallon

I may have some players out of position. Also think some of the players I've named may not have started but came on as subs. Maybe others can fill in the blanks or correct any mistakes I've made.

I think Harry McClure had a brother who was the other half forward, though I may be wrong on this. I think the other corner back was from a West Tyrone club. Hope this assists.

Don't know John Owens. John McGoldrick played in that team, his name is missing above. Think Seanie Meyler played aswell. Kevin McCabe played in the forward line.

John McGoldrick was man of the match in Ulster Final. He was pipped for an all star by none other than Connie Murphy of Kerry

John Owens played for the Moy I think and definitely played in a few NFL games for Tyrone and banged a couple of goals. It was around the early 90s, not sure if it was as early as 1989.
