Tipp minor hurlers 2011..

(Oldest Posts First)

The minors lost there opening game against Waterford below in Waterford and are now under pressure to beat Cork this weekend, Cork were supposed to be dissapointing against Limerick and unimpressive against Kerry, Did anyone see the tipp minors play this year, whats the story with them?

Heard a few rumours that the players arent overly impressed with Raymie Ryans coaching methods.

Away game in Waterford is always gonna be hard though

The minors would want to get over those feelings they have ASAP. Bit late in the day to have this going on. It is all very well having one senior all ireland. we need to be driving on and pushing for more and keep the conveyor belt going and prove to everyone that alot of good work IS going on at the moment.

Well the stories are that he's doing nothing but running them into the ground every training session, 20 laps before training kinda rubbish.

In fairness, minor hurlers rarely need the intensive cardio training, maybe a bit of gym work but for the most part they are all just naturally fit at that age anyway

I don't know what the players think of Raymie Ryan's training, but I know someone who has seen them training and was impressed by Ryan's methods of training. We will be a bit wiser after the Cork game, I suppose.

Is it true the Clare Tipp minor semi is on in Semple as a stand alone fixture?? This is madness if it is the case. Surely there are smaller venues in Tipp that could host this game!!!
