It seems the players have got rid of the management teams in Ballinamore the last two years. Grey_Owl (Leitrim) - Posts: 36 - 12/12/2015 10:38:25 1812722 Link 0 |
Aidan Rooney is the new manager in Manor, Glen Young obviously got the blame for not winning any of the 3 finals. Great to see Rooney back involved in Leitrim football, hopefully he does decently with Manor and that the county board get him involved at some level of coaching. Managerial merry go round in full swing indeed. Very surprised Manorhamilton have jettisoned Young after only one year back. Dodgy_Pass (Leitrim) - Posts: 329 - 15/12/2015 10:21:55 1812971 Link 0 |
Great to see Aiden Rooney back with Glencar Manorhamilton. Hopefully it will be a success and we will lead to more in club appointments. Restoring pride from within has to be way to go in regards to leitrim football as a whole. Hopefully this can be a start, Melvin Gaels lads seem to moving in right direction too along with Mohill and Willie's a resurgence in attacking and competitive club football is a must. Negative defensive football at club level a killer when lads step up to play as forwards at inter county level. bugsie (Leitrim) - Posts: 198 - 15/12/2015 16:05:06 1813032 Link 0 |
The appointment of proven coaches at club level can only bring on football as a whole in Leitrim. Leitrim1234 (Leitrim) - Posts: 241 - 15/12/2015 17:40:16 1813052 Link 0 |
at this stage Mohill & Aughawillan look the front runners for c'ship success in 2016 with Manor in third. expecting aughawillan to bounce back with renewed hunger in 2016 and Mark Plunktt has been particularly impressive in the hastings cup this year and he could give them an added dimension. Mohill will be looking to build on last year and with a smaller representation on the county panel this year that could benifit them. I bumped into a man from manor over christmas who was of the opinion that their squad while talented, will not win another senior c'ship as there is too much infighting among the players and he said this is the reason they are 5 years since their last c'ship win. He thought rooney was a good appointment but said he would have his hands full. It will also be interesting to see how melving Gaels do on their return to the senior ranks after a years sabbatical. rumours abound as to where Mulligan will be playing his club football this year althought the smart money seems be on him staying in dublin. totalrecall (Leitrim) - Posts: 529 - 19/01/2016 09:01:47 1817530 Link 0 |
