Replying To countyman2022:  "Couple lads apparently retiring, will give young lads a good chance."

Hopefully Wexford are competitive again this year. Would not begrudge them any success achieved. As much as the battle for us in Munster is always tough Wexford get nothing easy in Leinster either. Great honest hurling men.

How are we shaping up for Sunday lads? What is the panel likely to look like? Hopefully a few new players will make a claim

Thanks wexico . Hope the young lads do well. Cian Byrne looks like a good prospect . Haven't heard of Seamie O Leary what age is he or position does he play?

Seamie O'Hagan, he's with Buffers Alley he's only 18 turning 19 this year, plays in the FF line, think Kyle Scallan has potential too, couple of years of senior club hurling look to have stood to him.

Must be remembered all the lads mentioned in the paper are u20 and the silly rule that you can't play championship in u20 and senior still remains, I'd imagine its more of a developmental thing to bring them in for training possibly get some gametime in the league as they can still play u20 championship after that.

That's good to hear . We need new blood in the panel especially with a lot of lads entering their 30s . Thought that rule was just for football wexico maybe I'm wrong ?

Looked good last year. I'd imagine hes being brought in to get a feel for the senior panel and training especially. Likely play u20 come championship.

It's mad. In era where player welfare is front and centre, O'Hagan is doing his Leaving Cert, is the captain of the Combined Schools football team, whilst playing both codes for his school, training with the senior set-up at the minute and will surely be back training with the under-20s shortly (if they aren't back already).

Player welfare isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Most players would prefer to play more games and do less training. Wonder will he choose to play football or hurling if he makes it to senior intercounty?
