Replying To jimbodub:  "It's interesting to think you typed all that thinking you might be insulting Dublin players..

For someone with such a razor sharp perception. .

I'll leave you to figure it out.

To think of the shambles of an effort Meath have put in against Dublin two years in a row. Abysmal stuff. Embarrassing.

To belittle Mayo's efforts tonight when they were right in it up until late in the game with your theory that Dublin purposely sabotaged themselves...

I've read some nonsense on here but well done, that's right up there.

I can picture the training sessions with them practicing all the carefully orchestrated self sabotage plays.. Dear oh dear"
Nonsense jimbo. The funny thing is that it's the Leinster final that will be the undoing of Dublin, Dublin farted around for 50/55 minutes today to try to take heat of the debate. It won't work.

Replying To royaldunne:  "Agree. Actually I think whoever plays dub next year in finals will be closer too. Bit will it make a difference?? It must be very hard on the players to hold back and not be ruthless. But will it stop the clammer for change ?? I doubt it . Look if I was to pick my all time greatest players I've seen since sixties probably 8 of them would be from this dub team , so I in no way been disrespectful. It's just the gap is huge , I mean unbelievably wide. And it won't close in the next 4/5 years. So what can be done."
Easy Peasy..
Just a matter of dustin yerselves down and having a right crack at it again next season ..

I doubt their were many homes in dublin where people were jumping up and down celebrating an AI win.

Sad to think about that something that was so important is just part of the process now

Replying To Black+Blue:  "Is there a possibility of starting a petition to limit/ severly limit/erase the handpass from our game and promote kicking instead ?

Not an Anti- Dublin post as they are super foot passers and would most likely win the Championship currently..... just worried about the volume of handpassing from all teams.... its not exactly a 'skill' is it ??"
It was the beach volleyball goals that killed Mayo.

A lot of supporters on here with the we're beat attitude before a ball is kicked. Love to be playing Dublin in Croke Park but at least give it a go. Counties have to raise their game and do the simple things right. Giving ball away, kicks into keepers arms, loose defending for goals, giving away frees, these all add up. Dubs don't do it , plus they don't panic.

A lot of disrespect on here to a great group of Dublin players on and off the pitch. Thankfully real GAA people don't mix the players up with any funding gripes they might have. Best wishes to the great Mayo people and players. They will win Sam soon no question.

Agreed, except for the last bit.

Replying To mayotyroneman:  "Really does say it all...but sure the dubs run Croke park so why should we be surprised..they get to pick their own ref for the final, and let's admit it once again he made the big calls that swung the game the dubs way...and of course they got to bring the cup on to the pitch...Limerick had to leave the Liam McCarthy up in the stand..sure when you are the dubs you can do what you like.."
If it's true that Limerick had to leave the McCarthy cup in the stand then we need an explanation from Croke Park as to why Dublin were allowed to bring the cup onto the pitch. Is it possible that Dublin are being given preferential treatment? Surely not!!

It's also worth noting that jimbo questioned whether or not Meath had given their best in the Leinster final this year, yet reacted with anger and ridicule when Dublin's efforts were questioned tonight.

There's a double standard for you :-)

How do you know they're great off the pitch? What does that even mean?

And AOS not turning up, DOC being poor and failing to make any advantage of the Dublin black card.

I agree with you 100% apart from Mayo winning Sam, I think they have missed their chances years ago, today was never really there for them. in '16 and '17 they had their chance and didn't take it, Aidan O'Shea again a big let down against Dublin in a final.
