I saw that. Its an awkward one as the rules were set. However as I've posted before there's alot of people getting into matches that don't have to be there like newspaper columnists and even reporters. They are able to write reports on matches they don't attend in other provinces so they have no need to be at games during the covid.

If there were 3 too many Mayo officials above the max 12 allowed then take a look at the presentation of Sam and I would suggest the Dubs had more than 12 officials.

What's your point, Dublin didn't sanction the Mayo officials, nor did Croke Pk. Sanction is imposed by Mayo county board.

Didn't people say the same thing about Connolly and the brogans? That once they retired Dublin would suffer,,, the dubs have improved since they left,, Jack mccaffrey left the panel this year and wasn't missed in the slightest.
I'm not anti dub at all,, but one thing I will say is that this isn't one great group of players who came together at the right time.
Since 2011 loads of fantastic players have dropped off the Dublin first team or retired altogether and none of their departures have negatively affected Dublins fortunes in the slightest .

I don't think this year could be considered a real barometer for where exactly we are though. This year's Championship wasn't the same and although we still won it was different.
I think , without any disrespect to Tipperary and Cavan , that their provincial victories somewhat are evidence of that.
With Jack stepping away, the other retirements and Dessie Farrell taking over it it is difficult to know just how much that has actually taken a toll. The new introductions have been solid but I don't think we will really know just how good we are now until we get back to some sort of a more traditional championship.

Look , what I'm saying is ,it was a different championship and it was most definitely.
No back door , the final a week before Christmas, Cavan winning their first Ulster in 23 years , Tipp winning their first Munster in 85 years.
If you met Donegal last year and lost and met Donegal this year and won then that's different.
Whatever way you look at it surely you can recognise that it was a different championship.

Have to say I would be in agreement with your analysis of last year's championship & the Tipp & Cavan wins are the perfect examples. Unfortunately I am not sure we will have a proper championship this year either.
