Warwickshire 2014

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I presume it is head to head that is used to seperate two teams that are level on points and scoring difference is used if three or more sides are level on points. Or at least this is the directive from Croke Park, not sure if Warks have a different by law.

As far as I know the county team are playing on the 25th of May so will the league finals be played the following week as a treble header in Pairc Na hEireann?

Just wondering why there is now a play off in place for the league title.

If I remember correctly from last year,JM won the league after going through the season unbeaten, and they did not have to play the second place team in a play off. So why the changes this year??

Surely the team that finishes with the most points should be crowned league champions.

Think its due to the shortened season they have decided to create a league final, no idea when these will be as the County Team kicks in after this round of league games so they will probbaly be in November or something!

Plus 3 finals on one day...... kerching at the gate!!

I hear the heavy set lad from Macs looked at a transfer in the close season. If its true, would there be a club in Warwickshire he hasn't played for?

So if Barnabas win both of their last two games (which is feasible given that Macs/Mitchel's have nothing to play for) who will finish in 2nd place?

Fence hopper..... im sure you heard nonsense if thats the case!

I think it goes on head to head between the two teams level on points , so whoever has the better record between Barnabus and Casements.... cant see it getting to that though, can see Barnabus turning Mitchells over midweek in Nottingham but wont be strong enough to beat Macs the weekend...

Onlymessing - i took it with a pinch of salt myself when i first heard it, but ive heard it on a few occasions now from people within close quarters. Don't shoot the messenger.

madmick, You may want to retract a few of your comments as far back as Febuary or January of this year. As regards a lad deserving his suspenion that was given to him.

Would just like to inform you that it has now been overturned, and rightly so. As it was nothing but a stitch up from day one.

I see that they have put some Shield games down for 7pm in Birmingham on Tuesday night. How many of these will actually go ahead?

Struggling to understand how spitting at a referee is considered a farce. Hopefully the incident will go all the way to Croker and justice will be served.

Panel looks very strong according to the Warwickshire website. I see Ormsby is back out playing.

3 Four Masters players in the squad

Amazing. The manager like those who have gone before him seems to have his favourites.

If Four Masters have 3 players where is Leicester(1), Marys, Sons and Brendan's players?
