Takethehit, I was told yesterday that EGB beat Barnabas in the reserves. Presume it is a mistake on the Warks website

My mistake, just read the match report on the Barnabas website, seems the reserves lost to EGB which means the Warwickshire website is wrong.

What a sorry state of affairs.
Looks like a long drawn out appeal for the second year on the bounce.

Surely there's not too much of an appeal is there. They turned up at the wrong time, they lost, the end! Can't see it gets much clearer than that to be fair.

Well whatever happens i hope this doesnt drag on as stated, no one wants to see appeals and counter appeals ruin the season. Seems odd what happened if Mitchells turned up for the 4pm game and it seems like a mistake was made somewhere along the lines , could Barnabus agree to replay it maybe or they taking the points? I suppose if they had travelled down for a game after agreeing to move it to help the other team and then they dont show up you can understand them being annoyed!

If it stays as it is then thats a big swing towards Macs in the league, any one got any idea when the 2 teams meet as i know one fixture has to be rearranged so surely they must play each other soon?

Looking at this weeks fixtures think Macs and Barnabus may not have to get the boots out to get the 2 points this weekend, hopefully the other games go ahead as Casements v EGB could be a good one, can see a big win for Mitchells to against Sons.

I agree with you completely.
However, if you play an illegal player and get caught you would think thats fairly clear too. Didnt stop an appeal last year!

Can't see this making much difference to anything lads. Macs and Mitchels will still top the league even with Mitchels losing these points. It will still be between them in both league and championship. I saw Mitchels training Park na Heireann yesterday when they had no game. All of there big guns were there training and there was at least 18 there so I would give them the benefit of the doubts here lads.

Anyone know the reason why Mitchells wanted the time changed in the first place?? Whole situation seems like a bit of a farce.

On a brighter note, Macs top Senior and Reserve league and won by cricket scores again!!

It's clearly a mix up or else JMs would not have turned up at PNR. The eejit who thinks 1400 and 400pm are the same time is the one responsible - so for future reference there are 24 hours in a day not 20!

Either way the league will be decided between the Macs vs Mitchels games.
Granted this gives Macs the upper hand with draws or if its one win each.

If it is just a mix up you would think St B's would want to reschedule and prove themselves.
Guarantee we would want to win the right way and there is no way in hell the county board would allow a game between Macs n Mitchels to be settled by a no show!

Is there any fixtures for tonight?

I think there is two games on in PNH, Macs v RC and I think it is EGB v FM & Brendan's amalgamation both in the Mick Rielly cup.

Another win for Macs last night, surely favourites for the league now? If two teams finished on the same points would it come down to head to head record or goal(points) difference?

TonyMontana (Kerry) - Posts: 75 - 22/05/2013 09:41:38    1388709

If two sides finish level on points then it comes down to head to head. IF three sides or more are level on points then it comes down to scoring difference. Pretty sure this is across all levels in the GAA

I was one ejit who travelled 200 mile round trip to see this game which was given a 4pm start according to Warrickshire fixtures and results.
By changing times without letting the public who want to see games know, you are strangling the life from the assosiation
looking to see championship games.

Sunday 19th May

Senior Football League

St Mary's v St Mary's
Wolverhampton at 2pm

Sons of Erin v Roger Casements
Northampton at 3.30pm

John Mitchels v St Barnabas

Erin-go-Brath v Naomh Padraig

Expect to see no Mitchels men on the county squad this year now lads.
I have heard that they will not support the county unless the game is replayed.

Now surely thats an all time low.
