Hope Carlow gaa supporters turn out in big numbers on Sunday. I unfortunately missed the Waterford game due to work but am so thrilled for the players who put in such an honest effort since (and before) the Meath game. Well done to Anthony Rainbow and his backroom team, especially Turlough O'Brien who came in at the end of the league campaign and has brought huge training/coaching experience to the table.

This game is winnable!!!. Sunday 2pm Dr Cullen Park

Great news that it looks like Paul Broderick will be fit for Sunday. Anyone know what Hughie Gahan's chances are?

Is it because of carlows win over Waterford that makes the game with clare winnable.

What would the chances be if we had lost to Waterford.

Thanks for that pippy and gaaman.

Same team as that which started v Clare but that might be just for the programme. If Broderick is fit he has to start in my opinion.

Hopefully they have been practising taking goal chances this week. Missed two v Meath early on and probably wouldn't have been the humiliation it was if we had taken them chances. Missed three v Waterford and got away with it.

Best of luck to the lads today. If they want it badly enough they will win. Would be a great reward for the entire panel and management that have put in a huge effort even when things were at rock bottom. Carlow people salute you. Hope to see a big Carlow support.

Looking forward to a big performance a great game -- and a Carlow Victory.

Sad to say but as expected Clare were way to strong. Puts the Waterford win into perspective. Very hard
To see where we can go from here. We seem to have run out of steam again after 20 minutes. We got wiped out in midfield. The back line caved under a barrage of clare attacks. Our reaction seemed to be light years behind Clare and we were beaten to most breaks by some distance. Tactically again we were poorly set up but I don't think it would have made much difference as that carlow team are simply just not up to inter county standard

Agree with Barrowsider.

Compared to us Clare played the game at a different pace altogether. They were way too powerful around the middle and their forwards all had quick hands, good feet for kicking and an eye for the posts.

Can't understand how we didn't start with Paul Broderick. We were short enough of quality so it's unbelievable we wouldn't put our best players on the field for 70 minutes.

What ever about the tragedy of the game and honest analysis should be done, the fact that entry was €15 today is criminal, absolute scandalous, I arrive at 1.45pm to the Grounds waited 25 minutes in a Q for a ticket then another Q to go in missed the 1st 10 mins all because 'they' didn't bother to open the 'outside pitch' end, €10 for one game would have been reasonable & 'they' wonder where the support is???

Yeah 15 euro was a disgrace it was only ten for the Meath beating

15 euro a disgrace, ticket setup outside a disgrace.

Competitiveness of game a disgrace. How are we falling so far behind other div 4 teams? And we had a home draw.

It was 15 for the Waterford game aswell, not just today. To be fair I don't think "they" make up the prices for these game's, think the GAA themselves do, not Carlow,or so I was told anyway. As for today, I don't know how many times I seen lads going across the field over and back with hand passes and then being dispossessed instead of heading towards the goal. Clare had no problem with this as they ran straight through the middle of us time and time again.

It was a tenner in to Aughrim lads for their qualifier. Its pure greed, and nothing less than that.

Fergie, it was 20 quid to the stand and 10 to the terrace for the Waterford game. But at least you had the choice to pay the lower rate. Blanket charging of 15 euro was out of order

it was 15 for terrace for waterford game and rate is not set by county board!
