Funny you are the only 1 saying a kick everyone else that is saying anything about it is saying it was an elbow i wasn't at the game seen it on tv and they didn't show anything or say anything cluichethar (Mayo) - Posts: 454 - 30/08/2015 19:30:19 1778278 Link 0 |
It's pretty obvious at this stage that Rory managed to elbow himself so intent on acting the gurriers were the Dubs today. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13707 - 30/08/2015 19:35:48 1778288 Link 0 |
If i believed in conspiracy theories I'd say he was deliberately taken out of the game. But i don't :) Jackeen (Dublin) - Posts: 4097 - 30/08/2015 19:55:15 1778310 Link 0 |

O'Carroll was unlucky but was the author of his own misfortune. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 31/08/2015 08:33:49 1778464 Link 0 |

Highlighted on the Sunday Game last night.. Cillian O Connor elbowed him off the ball.. O Connor has a nasty streak in him which i highlighted here before, he was first on the scene for all the major tussles yesterday roaring at the ref and linesman trying to influence them. He was at the same thing last year in Limerick which saw him getting red. If the relevent authorities act on Mc Mahon then O Connor should get same punishment. Big difference between and elbow and a swinging arm. m_the_d (None) - Posts: 1099 - 31/08/2015 08:48:34 1778476 Link 0 |
Here's the ROC incident. link CroiGorm (Dublin) - Posts: 1547 - 31/08/2015 08:53:36 1778483 Link 0 |
ROC unlucky to get on the end of O'Connor's arm. He shouldn't be holding onto OConnor's jersey in the first place so he only has himself to blame. He'll have to pick up O'Shea in replay as I expect Mcmahon will be in the stan's pdempsey (Mayo) - Posts: 1313 - 31/08/2015 09:08:28 1778499 Link 0 |
An accident. Nothing more. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 31/08/2015 09:09:37 1778501 Link 0 |
Rory won't be playing next Saturday concussion protocol is a 3 week lay off I'd be surprised if Alan Brogan plays either Flynn knocked him out right at the end of the game. O Conor's arm was an accident fair enough. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 31/08/2015 09:19:11 1778511 Link 0 |
i think waynaol and clondalkindub have got it spot on . HurlerOnTheFenc (Mayo) - Posts: 282 - 31/08/2015 09:35:07 1778536 Link 0 |
No way was that an accident. You dont swing your arms behind you with that force for no reason. He "did" Rory O Carroll, and i expect him to serve a suspension.Sneaky, off the ball and reckless. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 31/08/2015 09:39:51 1778549 Link 0 |
Not an accident but not a red card or worthy of a suspension either. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 31/08/2015 09:45:42 1778558 Link 0 |
It's fairly hilarious to think that it was anything other than an accident. jason (Mayo) - Posts: 139 - 31/08/2015 09:45:50 1778559 Link 0 |
GAA need to look at having an assistant referee. In cases like this such an official would signal a free in straight away against the player swinging out of someones jersey off the ball. In this case Mayo would have got a free in regardless of where the ball was and it would not have got to the stage where ROC was injured. This is all avoidable but we constantly see players dragged off the ball out of the referees sight. Mayo player not at fault. Ashrules (Dublin) - Posts: 518 - 31/08/2015 09:49:59 1778570 Link 0 |
