Can see it going to a replay/extra time, two evenly matched sides RR (Meath) - Posts: 139 - 06/10/2014 11:29:51 1660642 Link 0 |

Ash can win this,but I think O'Mahonys have a little more forward power,it will be close but O'Mahonys for me.Of course I am an Ashbourne lad,so I hope I am wrong :) ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 06/10/2014 16:17:04 1660768 Link 0 |
Would it go to a replay or to extra time then a replay? Sticking my neck out and saying Ashbourne by one RR (Meath) - Posts: 139 - 06/10/2014 18:43:44 1660818 Link 0 |
Omahonys 4 me far more threat up front if they can break even at worst in mid field where they struggle they will win this Header33 (Meath) - Posts: 233 - 06/10/2014 19:12:54 1660834 Link 0 |

Going to be some match, Looking forward to it. Have a feeling could be a great match with a big crowd which would be unusual for two urban teams but its a novel pairing seasiderblues (Meath) - Posts: 342 - 07/10/2014 08:58:50 1660924 Link 0 |
Don/Ash by 3 , seem to be far hungrier side than they were last year summerhillof69 (Meath) - Posts: 226 - 07/10/2014 12:08:31 1660997 Link 0 |
Would mean a huge amount to Don/Ash and I'm predicting a very tight affair! Don/Ash pushed them closer than anyone the last time they met in the championship and I hope they can come out on the right side of the result this time| Experience will stand to O'Mahony's but I think that the hunger of Donaghmore will be enough to edge it... O mahonies quite poor defensively in my opinion, Don/Ash to win by 2 or 3 Meathgaa5 (Meath) - Posts: 339 - 07/10/2014 13:20:25 1661035 Link 0 |
Meathgaa5 - Not so sure about your analysis. Was at both match and the NOM attack were poor for 3/4 of the game but came alive in the last quarter. Keeping the opposition to 10 points will generally win most matches. Na Fianna even though ending with 12 players on the pitch scored 12 points. I think the game is 50/50 and whoever wants it most will win assuming that the man in the middle keeps the decisions fairly balanced. browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 07/10/2014 13:43:35 1661051 Link 0 |
Between the two sets of forward I would say Navan are a bit more dangerous. But don/ash look a lot stronger in midfield and defence, so I'd say Ashbourne will win by 2/3 pat_custard (Meath) - Posts: 125 - 07/10/2014 15:34:00 1661114 Link 0 |
Nom are very suspect at the back , tones never exploted this royalpainter (Meath) - Posts: 874 - 07/10/2014 17:53:59 1661177 Link 0 |
nom started well and finished strong without some top forwards not at their best elguapo (Meath) - Posts: 51 - 07/10/2014 19:05:48 1661211 Link 0 |
Ashbourne have a great defence and midfield but have a blunt forward line apart from Tormey and deegan from frees. O'Mahonys are suspect at the back and not great at midfield but brilliant in the forwards. Two evenly matched teams. BigJoe14 (Meath) - Posts: 932 - 07/10/2014 19:22:29 1661220 Link 0 |

I can't agree that O'Mahonys have a weak defence. Look at the scores they have conceded in championship games since Davy Nelson took over 3 years ago. He has completely changed how they play. Their defence is the reason they are in the final and the reason they won 2 years ago. Easily the best in the county. Former_Poster (Meath) - Posts: 394 - 07/10/2014 21:25:33 1661272 Link 0 |
