Some ball of dublin accents here in Navan,D/A could play in the Dublin championship and get away with it :)

O Mahonys won't get away with a start like that in Leinster

Better team won on the day. After playing well for the first 20 minutes Don/Ash faded miserably, two county boys were anonymous! Alan Forde outstanding for O Mahony's. Referee was poor to both sides, had two big calls to make and bottled them both. Deegan went in on goal and was brought down in the box, should've been a penalty but ref gave a free, and Tormey should've been off the pitch for a high tackle with about 10 minutes left.

O'Mahony's cannot play like that in Leinster or they are in trouble

O'Mahonys extra bit of experience won the game for me..Little bit more composed.

Two county boys anonymous is a bit harsh...

Menton got 1-0 and Tormey got 1-3 yet they were anonymous... thats 2-3 of D/A's 2-9 total

BM and AT played well in the first half, but NOM were the better team for the majority of the game despite the awful start. DA faded but could and probably should have got something from the game (draw) when they rallied late on. One or two wides too many. Congrats to the hoops - my neighbours flags are flying high tonight having survived a few stormy nights!

Right, take away the first ten minutes, and what did Menton do after that? Tormey was getting frustrated, and showed it with the high challenge. Two cracking footballers for the county, and usually consistent enough for the club, but thought they were poor today

Did not see any NEW faces worth a shot on the county panel. Thought D/A couny players did well with 2..3..beteween them. Better team won on the day.Indeed they had to prove their worth being 2 goals down in the first couple mins...Great to see some of the skills from under 9 teams at half time. Well done to all concerned.

RR i agree menton and tormey didn't have great games. they didn't stand out like you'd expect from a county player but did do OK. Tormey missed 2 easy ones in the first half and tried a rediculous one from the sideline. But i have to disagree completely about the referee. if you thought that it was a penalty then you must have been looking at it across from the stand. it was at least 2 yards outside and i didnt see any players complaining. as for the red card offense, it was a yellow and nothing more. a bit of a silly challenge but if your gonna get reds for that then ya may aswell put padding on the players. ya have to remember it's a mans game.

After his goal, Menton went missing for 55 minutes. Tormey got a tap in, McKeigue got on top and dominated him. Alan Forde was excellent, carried the ball and worked great. Never a penalty for DA. Ref did well so credit where credit is due. DA faded and didn't seem up for the fight for a period of 25 minutes, but in the end they'll rue the missed chances. Deegan missed a couple as did Eoin Reilly. Couldn't understand MOTM decision - yes he scored excellent frees in first half but what else did he do? Best team won, but haven't a hope in Leinster.

Menton didn't go missing imo,not his best game, but anyone that understands football would know he didn't go missing.I couldn't be bothered trying to explain it,as some would not understand.Despite Tormey doing some silly things,he was still one of D/Ash's best players. There were other county players on the field too,the two Brays for example.I think some expect county players to score 1-10 every game.. I think Deegan let SAsh down a bit,he went for scores from silly angles, and didn't have his head up when players were in better positions.Apart from Forde and Curran,I don't see any other players from these sides called up to the Meath panel.

As for the ref?
I am a D/Ash man,but no complaints, the referee was fine, you will see alot worse performances. That foul was nowhere near the box,he got that spot on,and Tormey? A yellow was the correct decision too.So the ref got both decisions spot on
