Apologies TRS, I missed your first enlightened post on here when you talked about provincial competitions being cake walks - having now read it I don't feel like I missed out on much. Yes they are the odds for each team winning, however go into your bookie and he will give you odds of 5/4 of both these outcomes happening this year - in other words it is more likely not to happen than to happen in the bookies opinion. Yet on here you continue to peddle the nonsense about a miracle being required for either to be beaten. Soma (UK) - Posts: 2630 - 16/04/2016 16:26:09 1846181 Link 0 |
Thought Mayo were brilliant . TheRightStuff (Donegal) - Posts: 1688 - 16/04/2016 17:09:26 1846203 Link 0 |
I think robbing Peter to pay Paul in the case of Keith Higgins would be a calculated gamble. Mayo have plenty of pace in defence with the likes of Harrison, Keegan and Durkan but where is the pace in attack? The mayo attack was working well in the 2013 final until the ridiculous decision to substitute Freeman was compounded when Higgins had to move back to replace Cunniffe. Cluxtons kicks out were uncontested after that. I don't think Higgins is as influential as of yore as he is not a man marker and he is not as well able to sweep at the back as he was. I agree that we are vulnerable under a high ball at full back but I can't see Higgins as an option there but I would like to see Clarke in goal as his ability in the air gives more confidence to the other defenders. Anyway we are only whistling past the graveyard as I don't think Rochford is on here saying "I wonder what these lads are thinking" or "that's a great idea, why didn't I think of that"? It's great being a hurler on the ditch as we can't really be proved wrong. Llaw_Gyffes (Mayo) - Posts: 1113 - 17/04/2016 12:29:46 1846363 Link 0 |
