What's the word on Andy Moran will he be back soon?

Andy back in training in a few weeks, end of the month I think. I don't think we will see him in action until the championship. He may not even start the Galway game, he has been out a while now and Id imagine he will be rusty.

When someone says something like what that poster says about "no team will come near Mayo".There is such an almighty reaction in here which then reads as if Mayo are one of worst teams: n the country.

Mayo under Horan have done mighty and they do plan on winning the all Ireland, now this might seem ridiculous to some of you really well informed GAA experts but that's the wait is, semi final defeat to Kerry in 11 and final loss to Donegal last year. The obvious next step in progression is to win it, if they dnt so be it, the one thing with this squad they will give it their all.

In all honesty 51, if anyone comes up with a line like that in March, irrespective of what county they're from, then they deserve everything they get.
I agree with you, Mayo look good & will be in the mix with about 5 others, but that is about as much as anyone can say at this stage.

I watched that tripe yesterday and nearly threw up in my mouth.

If watching Donegal V Tyrone makes you throw up, what must watching Wicklow make you do?

It makes me want to sing with joy.

Clondalkin.I'm not sure what our starting six forwards will be but Aos will be in midfield.Andy and Cillian will start if fit.Dillon might not be a starter ,he has miles on clock at this stage.

Ah 51 are you serious? I'd rate Dillion as Mayo's best forward he has to start

Muckrosshead, if anything was proven yesterday it was that Donegal are
very ordinary without M.Murphy!
At times yesterday, Donegal were playing a game that just wasn't gaelic
football! It was reminiscent of the Donegal/Dublin game in 2011!
Paddy Heaney states in the Irish news today that P. Harte was
'sacked' by 3 opponents in midfield, sacked is not a word that should be
used in Gaelic football, but then again, this is McGuinness' Donegal team!
Thankfully Donegal will win nothing this year, and Gaelic football will be the
better for it!

Tyrone players are well drilled in the darker arts of Gaelic football from a young age, and are in no way naive or completely innocent. Tyrone almost mirrored the Donegal team yesterday in formation and tactics, and in terms of fouls. The bookings did not reflect this and there was many comments after the game about the referee.
I commend Jim McGuinness for not commenting about the referee in the post match interview with Highland radio, to which i was listening while sitting in that Traffic Jam on the Gortin road.

Tyrone defended in swarms and hand passed as equally as much as Donegal did. Last season Donegal were probably the best team to watch all year, and yet some were having digs, and still referencing the 2011 All Ireland semi final.
They are a top quality footballing side, and one who many will want to avoid come championship.

51longago, the only reason I can think of that you would want dillon out of the team is that you dont want to change your username...
If he was playing the last night against dublin, how many of those aimless balls that went in to the ffline would have found a man? Compare that to the last time we faced dublin, where he was the architect in chief. He is one of the best creators around, and is well able to kick his own scores too. I would have him on ahead of both o'connor and moran.

Hard to fathom.

roll on May.

my earlier prediction that no one would come near Mayo this year has been proved right. hammered Kerry, lost to Tyrone thanks to a dodgy last minute penalty and ran close a full strength Dublin. cant wait to see mayo when O'Connor, Dillon and Moran return to full fitness in a few weeks.

14 man experimental enough Dublin.

Its also the same Gatekeeper who last year was all about Donegal and now is saying there a very ordinary team. Hard to fathom indeed

Well in fairness i would find Gatekeeper to be a fairly honest and Intelligent poster, But In this case I strongly disagree with those comments on Donegal. While I would state Tyrone are no Angels, i still enjoy watching them and could not deny they will likely challenge for an All Ireland with their current crop this year.

As for Paddy Heaney, as a journalist he should have been relaying the overall picture of the game and not focusing on a single tackle. To read his column and find "Tyrone player Sacked by 3 Donegal players" as the only highlight, would suggest it wasn't an accurate portrayal of the game. I am constantly bemused by poor reviews of Gaelic matches by Journalists, often dictated by the general perception of a team rather than the facts of the day.

A lot of things are hard to fathom GateKeeper

1 I threw nothing at your county. If you check my posts I have nothing but regard for the vast majority of Tyrone people.

2 I am long past gathering on line gangs!! Who in their right minds would spend their time at that.

3 Tyrone won fair & square on Sunday, no problem with that at all.

4 The championship game will be in Ballybofey not Clones

5 You haven't a clue who is going to win that game no more than I have, unless your other name is Mystic Meg.

I have no doubt that you are a "proud Tyrone man" but that does not give you the right to abuse all around you. The tenor of your posts is very confrontational, not unlike those who let your county down so badly on Sunday.

As far as i know if two teams are level on points it goes on head to head. If there are more then two teams its score difference.
